I benefitted from Lloyds switch bonus last year then switched out. Applied for account under new switch bonus scheme this month but created new user ID and used alternate phone number and email address. Didn't get asked for ID. Bonus paid five days before switch date! Tempted to cancel the switch either by telling the old bank or going £1 overdrawn 🤪0

Not breaching switching terms; you can switch with no expectation of the bonus; so, as NottsK said, Lloyds error. It'd be different if you had to have 'claimed' the reward.NottinghamKnight said:

However the question is whether the other application actions here breach any terms, if not, fine - 'Bank error in your favour' as in the well known board game.
Does the new ac appear alongside existing in these circumstances?
PS I believe you can't stop a cass once initiated.
