Can I please ask, did your wife find out what the issue was? My other half had this text too, applied on Friday, account opened and switch applied for, failed text received Monday. Was switching from a recently opened Monzo account, but I did the same and mine went through.GlennTheBaker said:
My wife applied for a Club Lloyds account on Saturday and wanted to switch her Halifax account to them. The application went through OK but she too has had this same text today. She hasn't called them yet but will try tomorrow.RadioFreeEurope said:I applied for the Lloyd's switch on Saturday. All seemed to be going well.
Just received a text now saying my switch can't be progressed and to phone the Lloyd's Bank switching team.
Phoned the number and it asks me whether I am a Halifax customer (press 1) or Bank of Scotland customer (press 2). And that's it!
I am a bit stumped.
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

Just a heads up for any Scots thinking about switching from a Joint Account in another UK bank to a Joint Account with Lloyds. As you will need to visit a Lloyds Branch to set up the new account, this will involve crossing the border into England, there being no Scottish branches. You might want to nett the cost and inconvenience this involves compared to the £100 incentive offered by this "British" bank!0

Here's a better heads up: Open a solo each with lloyds and transfer a solo each in - no branch visit and twice the reward. Et Voila ...as they say in Glasgow.Ticht said:Just a heads up for any Scots thinking about switching from a Joint Account in another UK bank to a Joint Account with Lloyds. I'm a completely different person who got the text, managed to phone them dead on 9am this morning (unlike the 20 minute wait advised other times). The other bank (Santander) want me to phone them. I haven't yet.Tharweb said:

Well they said they never received the switch, I know I completed their switch form, just as well I did phone otherwise would have waited and waited, now it's done for October and £100 to be credited end of September.mr_accountant said:Don't know what happened to my switch, was due to be completed from Halifax on 21/9, yet Halifax account stills shows online and no lloyds bonus as yet. I always complete the cass switch form as soon as I am accepted for the new account. Also I've not received any letter from Halifax, a call beckons tomorrow.0 -
I didn't complete a switch form, got the switch done and the incentive though after initiated it at the time of opening the CL ac.0

I got the failed switch message, called them today and was told the same as you, I'd entered the account number incorrectly. There is no way that happened, I check these things over and over, so I suspect the typo happened during processing and think the same probably happened to you.RadioFreeEurope said:It turned out my previous account number had been typed in incorrectly, so entirely my fault. How embarrassing, never done something that dumb before.
But what is weird is my old bank messaged me to confirm I was switching.
I don't know anymore! Anyways, sorted.
Anyway, everything going through now, so no harm done. This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

All sorted for me, I allegedly typed the account number incorrectly, nope, didn't happen, but I wonder what's up with yours?Eco_Miser said:
