It was back to work again yesterday and the million emails that come with having time off!

Hoping for a quieter day today.

It is the other half's 50th today. He has been thoroughly spoiled by his friends and family. He has requested a takeout curry tonight which is fine by me and saves me a job tonight.

Not much else going on today. Just need to walk the dog after work and have a quick clean in the kitchen but if I'm not cooking that shouldn't take much doing.

Welcome to the 50 club to your OH - we often do a cheeky takeaway for birthdays as well, and it also tends to be Indian!

Friday at last, its been a long working week for a 4 day week!

Nothing much happening today other than work. We will walk the dog after work and then flop on the sofa with a beer and some pizza. I doubt it will be a late night we have all been tired this week dog included!

Tomorrow we are out for a family meal as the last of the other half's 50th celebrations. We have his brother and sister in law coming round at some point during the day, they are making the long drive up from Bath tomorrow morning.

We had a fantastic family meal last night. It was great catching up with everyone in the same place at the same time.

We stayed over in the van so we could have a drink which was handy.

This morning we have filled the van up with diesel and LPG and have checked the tyre pressures. Just need to wash it next weekend and then it is ready for the trip to Scotland which is fast approaching.

Not much going on today. The dog is tired and not enjoying the heat. Will have a steady day for him. The other half is just pottering around doing a few odd jobs in the house. Mainly looking at the en suite sink which had become very slow draining. Think the trap will be blocked.

While he's doing that I've been making tonight's fish pie. Just needs assembling in a little while.

Almost time to go back to work again 🙄

Our dog isn’t enjoying the heat. Looking at the forecast it’s set to be even hotter next weekend 31 degrees.

Pesky work getting in the way of enjoying yourself 🤣

    Back to work again.

£92 sent to the energy account this morning. I really need to get onto them about reviewing the amount again as I still feel we are paying too much and the credit balance we have suggests the same.

Not much else going on today. Need to walk the dog later when it cools off and its shopping night tonight. Not got much to get so it should hopefully be a cheap one tonight.

I have got some loch trout out of the freezer for dinner tonight. Will have that with some rice and greens I think tonight.

Looking at how hot it is going to be for the rest of the week I think we will be breaking the BBQ out for dinners for the rest of the week.

They said it was going to be hot here but it’s been cloudy and looking like it’s going to chuck it down with rain all day. I’m not complaining though as we’ve been down South all weekend and it’s been hot and windy which has blown the pollen and my hayfever has been really going for it.

Another hot day in store here which only means one thing. Another BBQ for dinner after work.

The dog is at the vets after work tonight for a booster jab so we will take him for a walk in the park nearby. It should have cooled off by the time we get there, or we can find a shaded part.

Not much else going on today really.
