Wish mine had only gone up £10 a month! Ours has gone up just over £15 a month and we're not even at home for about 3 months of the year with the holidays and short breaks we have in the motorhome! Dread to think how much a month it would have gone up if we didn't go away as often as we do.1

Mid week again and a sunny start to the day. It does make getting up and about feel much easier.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is some nice T-Bone steak we picked up at the farm shop this weekend. Think I will do that with some grilled mushrooms, peppers and courgettes.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog
- cleaning the kitchen
- plugging in the van and turning on the fridge

Where you off to in the van this weekend? You’ve reminded me that I think we would be a lot better with a water meter. Something I keep meaning to get around to sorting.0

In other news, the new car debacle never ends. The V5 logbook had not arrived and we have had the car a month tomorrow so we chased it up with the dealership last week and they said they had registered the change of ownership online when we bought the car. Chased it up again yesterday and they hadn't made the application at all, they have made it this morning and I now have email confirmation from the DVLA.
Next question is does this affect the VED? Obviously tax doesn't transfer with ownership anymore. We taxed it with the new keeper slip when we were at the showroom so we could drive away, but now that a new transfer of ownership has been made today which post dates when we taxed it will this cancel the existing tax on the car?
If it does there is a further complication because the debit card I paid for the VED with had to be cancelled due to a fraudulent transaction so it doesn't exist anymore. Where does the refund go in that situation?
Nothing is ever simple is it?
At least we don't need to use the car for a little while so it can sit off the road for a few days until everything becomes clearer. Must remember to check online on Monday before driving it though. Don't want a ticket for no tax!!

DVLA don't refund to your card they still send out cheques so no problem about your card not existing any more!2

@RelievedSheff you're having no luck with that car! We like York, have a great time... sound's like you won't need much encouragement though haha.
@EssexHebridean that doesn't surprise me. Following the reminder I've got the ball rolling - I know that I can make a good saving, just hadn't got around to sorting it which was stupid really.0 -
What a mess with the car 😳 hopefully it’ll be sorted.
Enjoy York 👍 There’s an amazing little cheesecake shop on the corner of Gillygate called Ali’s……best cheesecake I’ve ever had. Not cheap but worth it 👍January spends - £587.582
