It had to be the new car but think it would of been worse if it was your lovely motor home.

Yes it didn't stay new for long did it?

At least it is only the bumper and nothing more structural. The other half spoke to them yesterday and she is upset that she has damaged someone's new car as well.

Just waiting to hear back from them this morning, they were going to have a chat last night about which way they wanted to go with this but we got the impression they would rather pay for the damage then go through insurance. We will find out today I guess.

In other news, the dog is at the vets after work tonight for his annual vaccinations. While we are there we are going to get the vet to update his rabies vaccination record in his Pet Passport. He got one before Brexit and then never was able to use it. With a bit of luck he might be able to use it this year after yesterdays UK-EU deals, just need to know when it will be valid again. Hopefully before the end of September. Will save us £100 on an Animal Health Certificate which would be nice.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is cajun duck breast with noodles and stir fried vegetables.

No other jobs tonight. It is going to be a quiet night hopefully.

Oh nearly forgot. £393 sent to the motorhome loan this morning as well. Must sort the totals out today as well.

A busy today today. Work first and then getting ready to go away tomorrow evening. I'm ready for a long weekend!!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is salmon wellington and greens.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • load of washing
    • vacuuming the house
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • plugging in the van and turning on the fridge
The lady who hit my car is going to pay the bill this morning (fingers crossed). That is booked in for repair next Tuesday.

And in other news we managed to secure a 12 month fixed energy tariff with our current provider that was a fair bit cheaper than our previous tariff to the tune of 10% cheaper so we have switched that over which saves us £10 per month.

I was glad to finish work yesterday. Every awkward client on the books seemed to crawl out of the woodwork yesterday.

We had a lovely evening in Ripon last night and enjoyed a few beers in a lovely pub while dinner cooked.

This morning we made an early start to miss any traffic and headed to Leyburn. We can't get on site until 1pm so we are currently parked in town doing a spot of shopping.

We found a lovely coffee shop where the dog was treated to his own pupachino.

Now on the van grabbing a quick shower while it looks like rain then I think a beer might be in order.

We had a fantastic couple of days in Leyburn, it is such a friendly little market town. Loads to see and do.

Yesterday we were in the fantastic pub The Pheasant when a load of lads on horse and cart came through on their way to Appleby. Such a lovely sight to see.

Sadly we have had to come home today. We set off earlier after some really nice extra mature Wensleydale cheese on sourdough toast and had a good run, a shade under two hours.

We are back home now with some washing in, the other half has popped to the shops, we need to put some fuel in my car and then we might have a run out somewhere to finish off the long weekend.

A thoroughly enjoyable weekend had by all.

Back to work again. Doesn't seem like two minutes ago we were leaving work.

The car is in for repair today, might get it back this evening but it will most likely be tomorrow I should think.

Not much else happening today. We need to go to the shops after work tonight and walk the dog but I think chilling out is in order tonight after a busy weekend. Just doing an easy dinner tonight some loch trout with rice and vegetables.
