Congratulations on the new car and the good deal.
I couldn't not have my own car even if we could strictly manage.with one. Not sure if its an independence/security thing. At the moment I can drive any one of 4 vehicles usually on our drive plus any of the company vehicles but only one is mine to run away with if I'm so inclined.
I'm sure you've thought it thrpugh more logically than that, including the running expenses. First big spend for a while.1 -

We have managed for four years but it has been impractical at times and the time had come to get another car again. This just popped up at the right price at the right time. A bit more than we had perhaps thought we would spend but on the plus side everything is new so we shouldn't have any real bills other than servicing for a while.
First big spend for a while and hopefully the last for a little while as well!2 -
Another hot and sunny day at work. Always seems such a waste of nice weather being locked in the office when its nice out!
Breakfast and lunch are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals and we have both taken our packed lunches to work. Tonight we are having a takeaway chicken wrap, the dog is at the groomers so we will be eating late by the time we have picked him up again.
No jobs tonight other than dropping the dog at the groomers. He will not be happy with us but the lure of some chicken will soon bring him around again!0 -

Glad to hear the handover went well.Looks smart in black tbf had to laugh about it growing on you lol, just don’t get tempted to buy some headlamp eye lashes haha. We’re down to the EQE and the Mk2. Have to make our mind up about a replacement for the EQE. No point asking my Mrs to find something, asked her what she wants the other day and we started with the couple year old AMG with 3k miles and ended with a white Conti GTC at £170k. Tbf I like those a lot not in white but it would !!!!!! kill us financially to have that. Wife’s justification was it’s a bargain, the first owner paid iro£250k.1

It's definitely not having eye lashes but it has gained some more chrome 🤣🤣🤣0

We had a run to the coast today. The diesel car was ready for a good run to clear out the filters so we used the excuse for fish and chips.
Unfortunately after the walk at the nature reserve when we called in Bridlington the dog had a major melt down at some children with devil bangers in the town centre and at the same time a car with a very loud exhaust started up next to him, and he slipped his harness in sheer panic. Luckily I managed to grab him before he bolted away.
Several people who saw what happened came to see if we were OK, which probably didn't help the dog but we were grateful that they may have been able to capture the dog had he managed to get away.
Thankfully we kept hold of the dog and the only harm done are a few scratches to my arm where he panicked when I picked him up by the scruff!
Funnily enough after we had coaxed him to walk the long way round to the harbour and we sat down to fish and chips he came around again and all was forgotten 🙄
We called into the dogs favourite pub where he was spoiled rotten on the way home. He's fast asleep in his kitchen bed now. Think he is happy to be home.
I've made a turkey mince Shepherds pie for dinner. Going to put that in shortly them I think an early night might be in store.
Hopefully tomorrow can be less stressful!

So yesterday just finished off what has been a rubbish weekend. Someone ran into the back of the Fiat while we were stationary at a junction. Safe to say I was not best impressed. The newness has worn off this one pretty quickly. 257 miles to be exact!
Fingers crossed for a better week this week. The other half has the car at the garage today to do an estimate to see if she wants to pay for the damage or go through insurance. At least I have no no claims to lose!!
Back to the working week I suppose.2 -
Thank goodness you managed to catch the dog. Our dog slipped her harness at a park when she was hassled by a big dog. Luckily she didn’t get far and I caught her.How annoying about your lovely new car 😞
Hopefully this week is better.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
