We went to see the Major Oak today. Always a pleasure to behold his presence. 



We have enjoyed a pleasant day at home in the sunshine. The dog has loved being in the garden.

Back to work again. A full working week this time as well.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is cajun chicken wraps made with the leftovers from yesterdays roast dinner.

Tonight's jobs are:

• walking the dog
• weekly shop

Another bright and sunny day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is a BBQ while the sun is shining and it's warm. We have got ostrich steak, BBQ ribs and some huge prawns tonight.

Tonight's jobs are:

• walking the dog
• load of washing

Another hot and sunny day means another evening in the garden for us.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is another BBQ while the sun is shining. Tonight we have a small piece of steak, some tuna, lamb chop and some grilled veggies.

Tonight's jobs are:

• walking the dog
• weigh in Wednesday
• cleaning the kitchen

Forgot it's pay day so savings money shuffle day. £200 to the savings account, £100 to the premium bonds and £100 to the ISA. There was also a bit of an underspend last month somehow, despite it being the expensive van month so a spare £100 has been sent to the savings account.

The 1st of a new month. May already!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is seafood pasta and garlic bread.

Tonight's jobs are:

• walking the dog
• load of washing
• cleaning the bathrooms
• vacuuming the house
• plugging in the van and turning on the fridge
• sorting out our clothes for the long weekend

A busier night tonight but it does mean we can make a swift getaway tomorrow evening.
