Such sad news about your friend. It’s always a shock to the system, even when it’s  out of the blue…..but to come so unexpectedly must have been horrendous for her.
Glad the dog was settled whilst you were out.

Just read your diary from the 26th. I’m sorry to read about your friend and Step Father-in-Law, life is cruel.

We had a dusting of snow to wake up to here but just been hammering it down with rain for the most part.

On a more positive note, you made me remember how nice it is around the Chatsworth Estate, beautiful part of the world. My old friend / !!!!!! stalker ha is from up that way, used to go driving around there so avoid crossing the !!!!!! county border these days haha.

Lots of snow this morning but it is melting very quickly now which is leading to flooding instead!

We had very heavy rain overnight as well which has not helped. The little watercourse in the field where we live had burst it's banks this morning which is unusual. Only seen it one other time in the almost six years we have lived there.

Hoping that the town centre avoids flooding this time. They seem to be getting flooded most winters  :'(

A slightly better drive into work today. No snow just icy roads to contend with instead. Let's see how many people can make it to work today. No doubt the usual suspects will use it as another excuse!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is salmon with noodles and stir fried vegetables.

When we used to work full time in the office we would get the serial Monday Club offenders call in sick 😆 Now we can WFH they can’t get out of it unless they’re genuinely sick.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Mid week already and another slippery slidey drive into work in the ice. Getting a bit fed up of deicing the car now!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is ostrich steak with rice and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • load of washing
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • weigh in Wedesday.
Time to see what the damage on the waistline has been this last few weeks!

It's the same here. The same suspects every time there is the tiniest excuse not to come to work.
