It didn't seem like i was in bed for two minutes last night. Felt like my head hit the pillow and then it was time to get up again. Still I must have had a good sleep and I feel rested.
Back to the grindstone again and the beginning of another working week.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is cajun chicken wraps.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog

It was nice to walk outside and not be instantly cold this morning. Big coat has gone back in the cupboard and the work jacket has come back out again.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is ostrich steak with rice and greens.
Tonight's job is walking the dog. Nothing else to do and I'm going to take full advantage of the extra half hour on the sofa.1 -
I can remember when ostrich was something really exotic and only available from specialist butchers so I was surprised to see it in Sainsbury’s a couple of years ago. Now surprised again to hear of you having it for dinner on a Tuesday ha.1

It's very lean (more so than chicken, turkey and venison) and very high in protein so is ideal if trying to shift the pounds
Quick to cook as well so ideal for an after work quick dinner.1 -
The ostrich sounds interesting. I think I tried it when it first made an appearance but was quite expensive at the time. Might have to investigate further.
it’s lovely to see grass and pavements again instead of a blanket of ice.January spends - £587.582 -

The stuff we have in the fridge now we got when it was on offer before Christmas at two steaks for £3.75.
Only trouble is it is not suitable for freezing. But it does tend to be long dated so we can usually get a couple of packet when it is on offer.
I am definitely not missing the snow and ice. Hopefully that is the last of it for this winter!!1 -
We had ostich burgers over Christmas but they dont sell them most of the year unfortunately.

Mid week already.
I have woken up with the feeling I might be sickening for something. I have pressure at the top of my nose and the start of a cough. Hopefully it is something and nothing and sorts itself out.

@RelievedSheff I might have to buy the ostrich steaks now ha, did not know they were particularly lean. Tbf I’ve not had it since I was a kid, my dad used to cook it as a (pretty rare) special. We eat far too much chicken I do know that. As you know by now my wife has a good discipline when it comes to food and I don’t- I find it a bit easier to stick to when there’s a bit of variety ha.
And you’ve set me off again, I love a proper homemade spag bol it’s something we only have as a very rare treat and if my wife cooks it’s practically all bol and next to no spag. If I cook she’ll tell me I’m a glutton and deserve to get fat ha.Hope the cold gets no worse.1
