@RelievedSheff I might have to buy the ostrich steaks now ha, did not know they were particularly lean. Tbf I’ve not had it since I was a kid, my dad used to cook it as a (pretty rare) special. We eat far too much chicken I do know that. As you know by now my wife has a good discipline when it comes to food and I don’t- I find it a bit easier to stick to when there’s a bit of variety ha.

And you’ve set me off again, I love a proper homemade spag bol it’s something we only have as a very rare treat and if my wife cooks it’s practically all bol and next to no spag. If I cook she’ll tell me I’m a glutton and deserve to get fat ha.

Hope the cold gets no worse.
Nothing wrong with a spag bol as part of a healthy balanced diet.

We don't use a lot of mince and pack it full of veggies. We don't have a lot of pasta with it though.

Half a pound lost this week.

Not as much as I had hoped but it's in the right direction at least.

We had ostich burgers over Christmas but they dont sell them most of the year unfortunately.
The orange supermarket and the blue supermarket have the steaks in all year round. They are usually with the venison and duck.
Neither of our even have venison much of the time as I do get that when I see it but thank you. I will try to look weekly.

We had to defrost the car again this morning. Wasn't expecting that!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is lemon and herb fish, jacket potato and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog

Friday at last. Another working week almost over.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is Dexter steak burgers with chips, onion rings and coleslaw.

Tonight we are going out for a few drinks after work. One of my work colleagues is leaving today so we are having a few good bye drinks after work. The other half will pick me up and have a couple before we go home.

Yesterday was a bit of a write off. I felt terrible all day. We put it down to a hangover but I didn't drink much Yesterday and I have woken up the same this morning so we are not convinced now!

We are supposed to be visiting the other half step dad in the nursing home today but I have said I'm not going. I will stay at home with the dog. Don't want to be spreading illness around a nursing home 🙄

I will cook us a breakfast before he goes. And I'm going to put a chicken casserole in the slow cooker for dinner later.

Not much else planned. I'm hoping for an early night and to wake up feeling better tomorrow!

Good idea to stay home in case you’re contagious. I expect you don’t feel like going out either. I hope you manage to get some rest and feel better by tomorrow.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Forgot it was van payment day today so £393 sent over there.

I am also attempting to pay the deposit for the new graphics on the van which we are going to have done on the return leg of our trip to Scotland. I say attempting because the red banks fraud team have flagged it as a suspicious transaction and have blocked by account.

Still trying to get that unblocked as we speak!!
