A day off work for me today but I'm not exactly calling it exciting. I have a chap coming to clean the ovens, a chap coming to service the boiler and a chap coming to do the safety check on the van. Expensive but definitely not exciting!
This morning I have been running around trying to get everything tidied up and the van cleaned inside and out. Its 9am and I think I have now finished. Oven man is due any minute.
Tonight we are heading to one of our fairly local pubs to take advantage of the last day of 25% off food. Will take the van and stay overnight. May as well while it is out and ready to go😀0 -
The van has passed its safety check with flying colours this afternoon which is always a relief.

It has been a busy weekend but thoroughly enjoyable. We have all come back shattered 🤣🤣🤣
Ripon was lovely as always.
Not much going on today. We have plonked the van back on the drive and will probably take the dog for a good walk now.
Got a load of washing in with another waiting.
Dinner later will be pork chops.
How is another weekend almost over?1 -
The start of another working week. This one started with some bad news this morning. The other half received a phone call this morning to inform him that his step father had passed away in the early hours of this morning. Not a complete surprise and it was expected but still not nice news to start the new week.
In fact the other half has got off to a stinker of a week because he was up feeling sick in the night as well which isn't like him. He has gone to work but he really wasn't in the mood for it today.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is tuna steak, noodles and stir fried vegetables.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog
