    Friday is here again.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from sores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is southern fried chicken with jacket potato and coleslaw.

No jobs to do tonight we are off out in the van so it will be home for a quick shower and then off we go. Only going half an hour down the A1 tonight so it won't be late by the time we are parked up. It will be a few quiet beers on the van tonight.

We have found another lovely site here. Only half an hour from home as well.

Last night we had a couple of beers at the brewery next door which was lovely.

Today we are having a walk to the next village to have a couple of beers in a pub we used to go to a lot with the boat. Its a fair walk from here we reckon an hour and 20ish each way.

Not much else planned really. Just having a coffee and then we will walk the dog before breakfast. Bacon and eggs this morning. Going to do steak pie, chips and mushy peas later for dinner.

We had a great day yesterday. The weather was grey all day but that didn't spoil it for us. The walk along the river was lovely.

Today we are heading home. We will fill up with diesel and gas on the way home and check the tyre pressures. Save us a job next weekend.

Need to drag the dog out of bed after coffee and take him for a walk. He doesn't look overly enthusiastic about that prospect 🤣🤣🤣

Not really got much planned for today. Going to have a lazy morning here over coffee and a bacon sarnie then head for home. Doing roast pork for dinner later.

£380 sent to the credit card this morning.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is roast pork wraps made with leftovers from yesterdays roast dinner.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop
    • load of washing
We had a lucky find this morning. The other half managed to leave the LPG filler cap at the petrol station yesterday. Called in this morning on the off chance it had been handed in and there it was sat on top of the LPG pump. That's saved us a few quid buying a replacement.

That was very lucky indeed to have found the LPG cover but then again unless another motorhome pulled in to fill up after you it was unlikely to have been taken by anyone else as they wouldn't really have a use for it!

Our favourite for leaving behind is when we fill up and leaving the connector on the tap - we have lost loads that way but have now, after many years, come up with me connecting and disconnecting the hose and DH putting the cover back and winding up the hose and since we've been doing that we haven't lost any!

  • It was cold this morning when we were walking the dog.

No jobs to do other than walking the dog.
  • It was really quite chilly this morning when we were walking the dog. Noticed it when I got out of bed and our bedroom wasn't as warm as usual.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is spag bol and garlic bread.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • cleaning the kitchen
I'm at the hairdressers tonight so the other half has kindly offered to cook dinner for when I get back.

On the subject of cereals we have been getting Weetabix but the price of a big box has gone up to £5.50 so just out of curiosity I decided to buy a big box of supermarket brand ones instead. We have had own brand ones before and not been impressed but actually the Tesco ones are not too bad. Not quite as good as the real ones but for £2.50 for a big box we can forgive them that!
