The traffic is getting progressively heavier as the kids start to go back to school.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner is cajun salmon with lemon rice and vegetables.

No jobs to do tonight other than walking the dog but we do have to go to the SIL's to deliver a couple of cards and presents. It is SILs birthday later this week and a nephews birthday while we are away in Europe. So will deal with two birds with one stone there.

The M1 has been horrendous for traffic all summer. Idk why they cordon off so much of it to only work on a small part at once.

The M1 has driven us crazy this year. Got to contend with it again soon to get down to Folkestone. It's just miles and miles of roadworks and 50mph speed limits at the minute.

I nipped out at 7.30 t this morning as I do every Wednesday - my journey usually takes less than 5 minutes - took 20 this morning and it was all school traffic. Must have been teachers going to the big academy near me. Must remember to allow extra time next week.
    January spends - £587.58
  • The schools are not all back yet here (the 3 different local authorities we border all have different term times) and the traffic is terrible already. Really not looking forward to next week when they are all back.

The change of the seasons is becoming more apparent each day. It's very autumnal this morning with the grey skies, drizzle and falling leaves.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is harissa chicken with rice and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • vacuuming the house
    • plugging in the van and turning on the fridge

I'm noticing the darker mornings too. Good job I'm WFH today as I didn't wake up until 6am. Need to start setting an alarm I suppose.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
