Friday already. This week has flown by.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will  be from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is pork and apple burgers with air fried cajun chips, beer battered onion rings and homemade coleslaw.

No jobs to do tonight other than walking the dog. It is going to be a relaxing evening on the sofa watching a film with a few beers.

Looking forward to a quiet weekend at home this weekend. We have a few jobs to do mainly in the garden but nothing too taxing.

One of our previous dogs used to get car sick. She was fine on Motorways but the smaller country roads round here were a nightmare. I used to sit in the back of the car with her with a load of puppy pads and we have a cover on the back seat that is washable. It never seemed to worry her and was fine after.

Unfortunately their dog gets quite distressed after he has been sick in the car. It's a shame because he enjoys getting out and about and will happily get into the car. He's only young so maybe he will grow out of it with age.

It does somewhat limit where they can go though which isn't ideal.

A weekend at home with nothing planned and no visitors. Now that's unusual for us!

The first load of washing is already on the line, the bedding from the van. Will do another load later.

The dog is at the groomers this morning at 9am. He won't be happy about that. While he is there we are going to pop into the farm shop. Not been in for a while. Need to order half a sheep.

Just having a coffee now then it will be a walk with the dog before breakfast. Just toast this morning. Will grab something at lunchtime while we are out and about. Having a wagyu saag masala for dinner later with lime and coriander rice, vegetable samosa and onion bhaji.

Not much else planned. Could do with having an hour in the garden perhaps. Grass needs cutting and the hedge could do with a tidy up.

I find those quiet weekends at home when the past few have been busy are some of the best. I know you love your travel but I assume that it gets quite tiring after a few weekends of being away.

It is nice to have a bit of a break from travelling. But we are always glad to get out and about again 😀

    Another day at home today.

Today's jobs are the garden and cleaning out the van. We are going to take the car for a mini valet as well today I think.

Breakfast was smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on sourdough toast which was very nice. Dinner later is a rotisserie chicken on the bbq.

First load of washing is just about finished and ready to hang on the line. Will do another load later.

The dog has had his morning walk. He is asleep in the sunshine now. Its a dogs life!

Monday morning again already. It has seemed like a quick weekend!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is cajun chicken wraps made with the leftovers from last nights rotisserie chicken.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop
It is forecast to be hot today so we will no doubt be eating out in the garden tonight.

Did you manage to eat dinner in the garden this evening? We did, no bbq though, we had a lasagna that needed eating- not really great hot day summer food ha.
