No. Just the two of us and the dog at home this year.

It's going to be nice to be able to do what we want when we want this year without the stress of guests and hosting.

Midweek already. Another week flying by.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is lamb chops with garlic rice and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weigh in Wednesday
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • load of washing
I'm at the hairdressers tonight so the other half will sort out the dog and the washing. Dinner will only take 15 minutes when I get back so I will sort it out when I get back from the hairdressers.

@RelievedSheff that's my kind of Christmas too these days. We love no longer hosting, one of the biggest favours my in-laws did was deciding to side with my wife's siblings and forcing us to have a quiet Christmas.

Don't think we will be hosting at Christmas for the foreseeable now. The in laws have got a dog who is travel sick after less than 10 miles in the car so he definitely won't make the 250 mile journey down to ours!

Is going to make seeing family tricky now because it relies on us going up there which we don't really want to have to do every year. We are going up next summer to Scotland for a weeks summer holiday so we will grab a day with them then, but not sure after that.

Our house has finally cooled down ready for it to get warm again at the weekend. We both slept better for it being cooler last night.

Breakfast and lunch are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals and we have both taken our packed lunches to work. Dinner tonight is a takeout chicken wrap from a local shop after we have taken the dog for a walk in the park in town.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • vacuuming the house
    • cleaning the bathrooms
We both lost a little bit of weight last week but not loads, a quarter pound for me and a half pound for the other half. Must try harder this week I think.

@RelievedSheff read that and thought at least I don’t have a travel sick dog lol, fml what a pain for your in-laws.

We visit my parents every year at least these days but we are now combining it with taking them on holiday - something that may work for you perhaps?

Our house was cooler last night too.
