Time to Face The Music

Friday and the end of the working week. A Friday evening at home for us as well which will make a nice change.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is southern fried chicken with jacket potato and coleslaw.

Tonight's jobs are:

• walking the dog
• load of washing
• popping to the shop to pick up a couple of bits missing from last night's home shopping delivery

When we have finished our few jobs for tonight it will be a couple of beers on the sofa chilling out and watching a film or two. We need to make the most of the down time tonight because it will likely be the only down time we get this weekend!!

A busy day today but it will probably be a no spends day. We have the family round for a bbq. 

Just enjoying the last peace and quiet we will get this weekend 🤣🤣🤣

We have been round the block with the dog and are just about to put the coffee on and grab breakfast. Crumpets this morning. 

Waiting until a reasonable time to cut the grass, then the other half is driving into the city to pick up his brother and sister in law. They are staying over tonight so other half can have a drink and then drive them home tomorrow. 

That leaves me a couple of hours quiet to get the food prepped.

That has been a busy weekend! 

The bbq yesterday went really well. Everyone was fed and watered and had a good time.

We have just got the house back to ourselves again. It seems very quiet now 🤣🤣🤣

Not really done much today other than a couple of loads of washing and walking the dog.

Looking forward to a rotisserie pork on the bbq for dinner before too long.

Then we will be getting ready to go back to work tomorrow. Definitely having a quieter weekend next weekend. I need one 🙄

Back to work again on this lovely sunny Monday morning.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is cajun pork wraps made with some leftover pork from yesterdays dinner.

Tonight's jobs are:

• walking the dog
• load of washing
• weekly shop

It will be too hot in our house tonight is the weather forecast is right so it will be another evening in the garden I expect.

Another lovely sunny day in store.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is some small pieces of salmon, king prawns and steak on the BBQ. Will do some grilled peppers and mushrooms as well to go with it. It's still far too hot to cook in our kitchen. Mind you we are quite enjoying spending our evenings in the garden at the minute. The dog is enjoying it as well. 

Tonight's jobs are:

• walking the dog
• refitting the cooker hood filters and hob pan stands (decided to stick these in the dishwasher this morning)

I always find cooker hood filters far easier to remove than put back on 😆
