I just had a look at your first post or two and then jumped to the end.

That's a tremendous improvement from where you started.

All those zero balances on the credit cards must be encouraging :-)

Our finances are certainly a lot healthier these days!

It's all thanks to the help and support of this forum.

A weekend at home this weekend. Hoping to get some time out in the garden.

The dog is at the groomers this morning. We will nip to the farm shop and shops while he is there then hopefully tackle the  grass and hedges when he gets back home.

He needs a walk first and we need to post our ballot papers so a walk up to the post box will kill two birds with one stone. Not the most exciting walk mind. Will have a bacon sandwich when we get back.

If we get everything ship shape might have a wander to the local pub for a few beers.

I'm sticking a beef curry in the slow cooker for dinner tonight.

So much for a cheap weekend at home. We found a discount code for the wheels and tyres we wanted for the van so couldn't refuse them.

They have come in £200 cheaper than expected which is a bonus 😀

Savings account has taken a hit now though 🙄

Good move to get them while they were discounted.  Especially if they were on the cards anyway. At least you have the savings to pay for them.

Hopefully it will be a cheaper day today!

Not got much planned. We need to take the hedge clippings to the tip and will probably walk the dog along the canal while we are there.

Going to get the bedding washed and hung on the line to dry while it's sunny out. Make the most of the weather. I must give the van a quick clean inside as well. We are out in that next weekend.

It's a mini cooked breakfast this morning and roast chicken for dinner later.

Yes we have the money there for them which is one thing I suppose.

The economics of it didn't stack up to refurbish the old wheels and fit new tyres to them. Would have cost pretty much as much as the new wheels and tyres and now we have wheels we actually like 😀

We have sold the old wheels already to a friend who's van doesn't have alloy wheels. They are away in Europe at the moment so we will store them at the bottom of the garden until they get back.

We are hoping the new wheels come in time to fit them on Saturday.

That credit card should be gone by next October so is the £400 going to savings, mortgage or overpaying the motor home loan?

Good call on the discounted wheels/ tyres.

I think it will go into a combination of over paying more on the mortgage and into savings.

Perhaps a half and half split.

Will leave the motorhome loan as is.

We took the dog for a drive out to Matlock Bath to see the fish in the end. Made the most of the spring sunshine.

Decided to forego breakfast and have fish and chips at lunchtime instead which were lovely.

The dog is now fast asleep in his kitchen bed. I think he's had a good day.

We are just making the most of our last hours of weekend before work again tomorrow 🙄

    You're doing brilliantly, @RelievedSheff

A long time since we've been to Matlock Bath but it doesn't change ha. My son still goes on about having a fish pond too lol.

Surprised to not see more classic cars on your photo - it was drive it day today.
