I was lucky that work bought me a desk, chair and extra monitor and the desk fits neatly into a corner of the dining room. From here I can see out of the window and through into the kitchen and see the garden through the patio doors. I have considered moving into the spare room but it's very small and I already have a treadmill, exercise bike and various other fitness equipment in there so it would be a bit cramped as well as isolated. Like you lockdown won't affect my work in the slightest. We've been told we'll be WFH until at least May and then we'll be WFH 3 days a week for the foreseeable future.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Thanks might have to try it!Good to see different views on this tbh the staff I have at home I said to try to make a separate space- most did 2/3 days from home before this so not a temporary thing really and not uncommon for parts of my business. I have a home office 100 wouldn’t want to work in my dining room with wife bothering me all day suppose it’s be fine if your partners appreciate you need to get on.3

The other half is good when he is at home on furlough and finds things to keep himself occupied and out of my way. We have prewarned the dog that he will be in for some long walks again

Almost forgot. I am sending the form off to close down credit card 1 today. That is another job crossed off the tidying up list.

Great on a credit card being closed off.
We often have swede, carrot, sweet potato and parsnips mashed in various combinations to go on top of cottage pie. Sweet potato and parsnip sounds lovely. I made a soup with that the other day and it was really nice.
My home office is a separate room on the ground floor so it does not feel like I am shut away but both my DDs have separate home offices as they have lots of meetings which obviously I don't any more. My SIL has his desk in the dining room as he says he cannot share the 4th bedroom my DD2 uses as a home office due to confidentiality. Problem comes today though when DGD1 needs to also use laptop for google classrooms so 2 people wfh and 1 home schooling with a toddler sounds like a nightmare.

I've been working from home since March and until July was working in front room now I'm in bedroom with a desk and proper set up. It helps in terms of work role but I miss the flexibility that had in living room. Now I try and do a combo of both if possible.
I also like sweet potato mash on shepherd's pie but not tried it with parsnip may have to give this a go.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200
