    Good news re card 1.

My home office is a 18sqm ‘bedroom’ too. Never been used as a bedroom in my ownership and won’t ever be either. Home office better than my comm office tbh.

It will be a no spends day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having soup and bread for my lunch and dinner tonight is chicken and mushroom lasagne with salad and garlic bread.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • load of washing
    • vacuuming the house
    • dusting the house
    • walking the dog x 2
The other half found out yesterday that they are going to try and keep the garage where he works open through this lock down. I'm not sure why they think this will work for this lock down when it didn't for the previous two but they can but try I suppose. We both expect he will be furloughed again in the next couple of weeks or so.

I suppose people still need garages even in lockdown, there seem to be quite a few people on the road this time.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

People just didn't come to the garage last time. Technically they shouldn't it isn't a valid reason to be out of the house. And the main dealers were all shut so they couldn't source parts to fix the cars they did get in.

We doubt this time will be any different. But we shall have to wait and see.

Do they do MOTs?  If so then that is a legitimate reason for going to a garage as the Government haven't said they are extending MOTs this time round like they did in the first one.

No. They do bodywork repairs not mechanical repairs.

Not quite a no spends day today. I have ordered the dogs new jacket so £32 spent.

Other than the above it will be a no spends days though. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was cereals, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having chicken and vegetable rice for my lunch and dinner tonight is cajun salmon with tortellini and vegetables.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • walking the dog x 2
It is very frosty and icy outside this morning. The lids on the bins were frozen solid this morning. Apparently the dog was charging around like a dog possessed on the big field this morning in the frosty grass.

The dog will look smart in his new jacket 😁 It was very frosty here too, although the pavements weren't as bad as they looked thankfully.

I'm sure he will look smart but it is more to keep him warm after he has had his hair cut. He isn't too bad at the minute with his long fur keeping him warm but it will be a shock to the system for him next week when he has it shaved short again  :/

It's Friday at last. It seems to have been a long working week this week!

It will be a no spends day today. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I'm having stewing steak in Yorkshire pudding for my lunch and dinner tonight is burgers with sweet potato wedges, onion rings and salad.

We will watch a couple of films tonight with a few beers on the sofa.

I have a couple of meat deliveries coming today. The garage freezer was looking a bit depleted in some areas so it was time for a little restock.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • sorting and portioning the meat deliveries and putting them in the relevant freezers
    • vacuuming the house
    • dusting the house
    • walking the dog x 2
We were expecting to have woken up to snow with the forecast for last night but all we have is rain instead. The other half has been out with the dog this morning and he says that although the roads and paths look clear of ice there are patches of sheet ice that are treacherous.
