I was expecting to see snow as well, I can't tell what it's doing here, it's too dark. It's usually the paths that look clear that are the worst this time of year, many times I've slipped on a clear patch walking to work. I feel like all the days have merged into one this week and I had to think what day it was when I woke up.

Didn’t think you’d be on the vegan January @RelievedSheff lol.

Woke up today a bit deflated it’s Friday but actually think taking a break from the work over the weekend won’t be a bad thing. Not much to do though.

Absolutely not doing  vegan January. Don't see the point in making the longest, darkest month of the year even more miserable than it needs to be :D

It will be a quiet weekend for everyone. Nowhere to go, nothing to do other than taking the dog out for a walk. On the plus side it will be cheap.

😂😂😂 Got a couple of staff doing it, one doing dry January and vegan January FML. Must admit I read your post and thought !!!!!! the dry Jan, a drink tonight would be nice tbh haha. Not going to.

That’s basically our plan too. Does allow us to get into the better habits tbf.

We have snow again - bit of a microclimate on our hill though. If we can escape it, its usually ok elsewhere.
I quite fancy some of those meat orders - if we ever get to be just 2 at home again. More variety and luxury at hand. I'm pretty sure there is zero chance of veganuary here, although one son has got himself a vegan girlfriend - when he came home he was devouring meat like no tomorrow lol. Dry Jan more likely or nearly dry. Lockdown seems to have killed everyone's drinking mojo - drinking less does make the odd drink much nicer though.
We drive a bit too locally, it makes for much less contact then setting off from home usually so makes sense to me. Took mum for her 2nd vaccine and when I thought about it, it was a bit contradictory having so many vulnerable people in a queue together even though the health centre managed it very well.

It does work out so much cheaper buying the meat in bulk. You do need to have the freezer capacity to store it all though.

I have realised it is only one meat order today though. For some unknown reason I selected next Friday for the other order!

Today's order of Stornoway black pudding, haggis, scotch beef shin and sausage has arrived and is now portioned up and put away in the relevant freezers.

I could easily do veganuary as I don’t eat meat or eggs and eat a lot of plant based food anyway but dry January not a chance 😆 😱

It will be a low spend day today. We need to get some fruit and vegetables from the farm shop and some beer from somewhere.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Full English for breakfast and then slow cooked beef madras for dinner tonight with basmati rice, nan bread and sides.

We need to look at the headlights on my car today. None of them are working oddly. Sods law it is due its MOT in the next couple of weeks as well.

Then we are taking the dog out for a muddy walk so that we can try out his new Mud Daddy mobile dog wash.

Curry night in our house too 😁 The mobile dog wash sounds good. My dog gets really muddy easily because of her short legs and tummy being so low to the ground, plus she’s white which doesn’t help. Hope you get your car lights sorted, typical it’s happened before the MOT.
