Another wet start to the day. Is it ever going to stop raining this year?

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is crab cakes with sweet potato chips and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • load of washing
    • dropping the van spare keys off at the MOT testers

Great news about the van insurance. Good to get it all done and dusted for another year.

I’m so sick of all the rain.

A sunny start to the day. It always makes it so much easier to get up and about when it's sunny.

It's van MOT and service day today. Hoping it is a straight forward one this year, we don't expect anything to be wrong with it and it is only due an oil and filter change this year.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is garlic and herb chicken breast with wholegrain and wild rice and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • picking up the van
    • filling the van water tank to save us a job on Friday

Just heard that the van is ready to pick up and has passed with flying colours again. So all sorted for another year on the road.

Back on the weight loss this weekend with a one and a quarter pound loss. Well chuffed with that.

The van is going to cost us a set of tyres. They are close to the legal limit so need changing. We were going to change the wheels and tyres anyway this year so it will just bring that forwards a few months. We will choose which ones we want and get them ordered.

Which mean I will be raiding the savings account. But the money is there for them so no credit which is a good thing 😀

Well done on the weight loss. Good news about the MOT and having savings to cover the new tyres.

Another sunny start to the day. The dog walk was lovely this morning, nice and mild as well.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was a toasted hot cross bun, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is lamb and mint burgers with sweet potato chips, coleslaw and corn on the cob.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • vacuuming the house

    • making tomorrow night's shepherd's pie
A busier night tonight as is usual for a Thursday.
