Brilliant to have knocked it down to the next £1k level - it's those little goals being attained that keep us going isn't it!
    Absolutely it is.

Friday and the end of another short working week. Another grey and damp start to the day.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores today. Breakfast was a toasted apple and cinnamon hot cross bun, we have both taken our packed lunches to work, salad box for me and dinner tonight is southern fried chicken with chips and coleslaw.

No jobs to do tonight other than walking the dog and then it will be a few drinks on the sofa watching a film. Think it will be an early night tonight ahead of a weekend at home.

Everything seems to be ticking along nicely at the minute.

I have increased the credit card payment to £400 from next month and I think we are going to increase the ISA payment from £50 a month to £100 a month as well.

A weekend at home this weekend. Just taken the dog for his morning walk and it is surprisingly mild out.

Just having a coffee then I will make a start on breakfast. A mini cooked breakfast this morning.

Today we are going to pop to the shops and do a bit of tidying in the garden and have a walk to the local for a couple of drinks later on.

Going to make a slow cooked lamb saag masala for dinner tonight with the trimmings.

You're doing really well - shame about the home insurance but as we all know insurance is up across the board.

The only insurance that hasn't gone up this year is the travel insurance. That has been the same price for a few years now!!

We had a busy day yesterday washing cars, cleaning the van, walking the dog, visiting in the garden centre and pottering around in the garden so it was fairly late for us before we sat down to chill out before dinner.w

Back to work today and it is another grey and damp start to the day.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was a bacon and egg sandwich, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is beef in black bean sauce with noodles and spring roll which will finish off the leftovers from yesterdays roast dinner.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop
With the weather being so mild we have turned off the heating at home now. It was only coming on for very short bursts anyway and wasting more gas than being useful so off it goes. It was still really hot in the kitchen this morning though, 24 degrees according to the thermostat!

Just had the van insurance renewal quote come through from our current insurers and it is much cheaper than anywhere else we have tried so I have snapped that up and paid it before they change their mind  :D

The difference between what we have paid and what we expected to be paying will pay for Wednesday's MOT and service which is a nice surprise.
