Milo will be sat on the drive until Easter now. We are having the next couple of weekends at home to try and get the gardens tidied up, a few bits done around the house and the van given its proper Spring clean before we go away.

It's an early start for a weekend here today. No idea why but we were both wide awake at 6am so we may as well get up and get going.
A day at home today and probably making a start on garden tidying I think. Will wash the van bedding as well I think.
We need to go to the shops first. Farm shop for a meat top up, not been for a few weeks they will think we have gone missing! Need a few other bits and bobs from town as well.
Breakfast this morning is bacon and scrambled eggs and dinner later is a slow cooked beef and tomato stew with Yorkshire pudding.
Might have a walk up to the pub later. See how we get on with the list of jobs and how long they take.1 -
Managed to have a couple of hours in the gardens this morning while the weather was nice. They look so much better for a quick tidy up.
Glad we got the grass cut while we could. Looks like it's going to rain again now.
That first cut of the year is always the worst 🙄1 -
I regret not cutting the grass first before I did the other gardening jobs as it started raining just as I finished them. Oh well carry it forward to another day 😐I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Bet it makes a change for you to be home at the weekend? Unfortunately, the promising start to the day didn't last long.

Sounds like we had the best of the weather yesterday then - dry all day and sunny through the morning and part of the afternoon. As we haven’t borrowed the mower back from Mum I compromised on getting the shears on the longest tufts of grass - it definitely looks better for it! An enforced quiet day for me today. I foolishly managed to miss my step on a kerb yesterday afternoon on the way home from the pub and have gone over on my ankle and cut my hands for good measure. Now sporting a swollen bruised ankle and gravel rash hands. I'm too old for this nonsense 🤣🤣🤣
The other half has just gone out in the rain to walk the dog. Neither of them were overly enthusiastic about it.
Washing the van will wait for next week. Its not the weather for that today. The rain is forecast to stop at about 2pm so we are going to plant the veggie seeds this afternoon and get them going.
Not much else going on today. It will be a lazy day. Will wash our bedding I think.
Roast chicken for dinner today. Might get the other half to cook today. Save me hobbling around the kitchen!1 -

Oh no to the accident ☹️ Someone I work with broke her ankle just by missing a kerb. Hope it feels better after a day of rest. Let OH do all the work today 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Winter veg growing wasn't a huge success. We have the sum total of one mini swede and two carrots 🙄0
