No chance of a lie in this morning. The bin men were round at the crack of dawn. Back to our usual Friday collection from next week.
We have a surprise weekend to ourselves this weekend. The neighbours who were supposed to come around tonight messaged yesterday to say they are ill so won't make it.
Breakfast this morning is beans on toast and I will still make a curry later for the two of us.
We are heading off into town this morning to buy some new trainers. We both fancy a pair before we head to York next weekend.1 -
No chance of a Sunday lie in either. The dogs body clock is stuck on the 6am week day alarm!
We will take him out for a long walk soon then no doubt he will go back to bed after he has had breakfast.
Our breakfast is going to be scrambled eggs on toast. We have roast pork and vegetables tonight for dinner.
Not got a great deal planned for today. We have some new electric elements to fit to the van heater but other than that it's a free day. Might get the monopoly board out again later or the playing cards.1 -
Our dog doesn’t get up until around 9am but the cats are on 5am workday schedules. I
was dreaming my cat was pulling my hair only to wake up and find she was 😐I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
Can see why the dealership went to great lengths to fob us off and say there was nothing wrong with the electric heating now. 🙄Changed the electric elements today. They needed a bit of persuasion to get them to come out. They were a right pig to get out. Had to persuade them with a big slide hammer. For the first time in nearly three years, we now have fully functioning electric heating and hot water. 😀1

The start of another working week. A short week this week, just the four days.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work, salad box for me again and tonight it is cajun pork wraps made with the leftovers from yesterdays roast dinner.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog
- weekly shop
- load of washing
We have a Plan B and C lined up if required.0 -
Completely forgot it is motorhome loan payment day today, so £393 sent to there.
Revised totals below:Balances Update 22.01.24
Furniture Loan = £0 (Account Settled)
HP Car Loan = £0 (Account Settled)
Debt 1 = £0 (Account Settled)
Paypal Credit = £0
Credit Card 1 =£0 (Account Closed)
Credit Card 2 = £0 (Account Closed)
Credit Card 3 = £0 (Account Closed)
Credit Card 4 = £0 (Account Closed)
Credit Card 5 = £0 (Account Closed)
Credit Card 7 = £0
Credit Card 6 = £8163 (£350 repayment 0% interest until July 2024)
HP Motorhome Loan = £10619 (£393 repayment final payment April 2026)
Total Debt = £18782
Savings Account = £1470
Premium Bonds = £1850
Investment ISA = £250
Total Savings = £3570
So that takes the motorhome loan into the next thousand bracket and the total debt down into the next thousand as well. Certainly feels like we are getting somewhere now. Barring any major mishaps we should be approaching the £10k mark by the end of this year.

The savings are looking good too. I assume you will be looking for a BT in June/July? The card should be below £7k then.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
