I think I might try the toilet squats today and see how I get on with them.

    Or swats :)

Another cold start to the day. The heating came on in our bedroom this morning so we knew it was cold before we even got out of bed. Not all that often the bedroom heating comes on!

One benefit of the cold weather and ice is that the roads are quieter in a morning. People are still at home scraping their cars when we are on the road. It's been a breeze the last couple of mornings.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores this morning. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work, a salad box for me again and dinner tonight is spicy pork loin chops with rice and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • load of washing
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • vacuuming the house

I wish our traffic was better on the colder mornings RS - this morning I decided to go to the slightly more northern junction to the motorway as the "main" one for the town already had long delays, but in the end I'm not sure I may not have been quicker just going there as it still took me nearly half an hour to get to that same point on the motorway. Sigh.

It was -6C with us this morning so I'm guessing you had a little colder than that even - not surprised your heating came on!

It was only -2 according to the car when we set off this morning.

Does that mean we win with -7c this morning ?

That's our lowest for a while. I'm so glad I don't do the early commute any more. I've done my share of slippery driving and arctic station platforms with trains that never come.

We did have a slightly alarming experience. My son's car slid down and partly off the drive during the night and its barely a slope.

    Blimey, that's a tad scary.

😂😂😂😂 I took a deep intake of breath there SA I thought you were going to say you did swats whilst hovering over the loo 😱😱😱
I knew someone would say that 🤣🤣 The toilets are self contained by the way - just so you know 🤣🤣
I tried your squats recommendation today. Think I will keep up with that one. 60 squats today.

Also has the added benefit of getting some extra steps in because the only self contained toilet where I can do them is on the bottom floor of the office and I'm on the top floor. So it's three flights down and three flights back up again 😀

Friday at last. Another cold frosty start to the day but according to the forecast this should be the last on for a while.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work, a salad box for me again, and dinner tonight is air fryer southern fried chicken with air fried cajun chips and homemade coleslaw.

No jobs to do tonight just walking the dog. Then it is a night on the sofa watching a film with a couple of drinks. It's a drinks switch for me from lager to whisky and diet coke (caffeine free or I won't sleep!) Used to drink whisky and diet coke all the time a few years back. Not sure why I switched back to lager really!
