  • Yep - google "inclined press ups" - also you can do press ups from the knees, or indeed just focus on the downwards portion of the movement in the first place - so start with arms fully extended, and aim to gently lower yourself back to the floor but not worry about pushing back up again, so just get yourself back to the starting position and repeat. Squats while waiting for the kettle to boil are also good!

There was a doctor on tv the other day talking about the benefits of doing squats whilst brushing your teeth and making it a routine.

Mid week already. Had to defrost the car this morning. Think we have been lucky the last couple of mornings and had no ice to clear despite it being bitterly cold.

It is weigh in Wednesday today. We have decided Wednesday is the night for this as it's the most likely day we will actually be at home. Not expecting great things this time as it was only four days ago that we weighed in for the first time. I will be happy to just not have gained anything!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work (a salad box for me again) and dinner tonight is shepherd's pie with a root veg mash topping and some vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • cleaning the kitchen

I did lunges while I was waiting for the kettle to boil at work earlier! And in the name of "small things" I always put my socks on standing up - lifting one leg at a time - and have noticed real improvements in my balance since I've been doing it!

Shepherd's Pie RS - yum! There's something I've not made in ages!

Wasn't expecting a loss after four days but the scales indicate a pound and a quarter loss so I won't argue with them 🤣🤣🤣

Aiming for another pound over the next seven days.

    That’s a great start, well done 👏

Every time I go to the loo at work I do 20 squats while I’m drying my hands. Depending on how much water I’ve had it can be as many as 100 a day 🤣
