The other half has been packed off to work this morning. He wasn't best pleased by it. We both have the starting of a cold this morning unhelpfully.  Probably picked something up when we were out in Lincoln for a couple of nights. Hopefully it will be something and nothing this time around.

It's savings juggling day. £200 to the savings account, £100 to the Premium Bonds, £50 to the ISA and the mortgage overpayment all head out of the account this morning.

Not much else to report today. Me and the dog are having a quiet day at home. Got a couple of loads of washing to do and not much else.

Need to figure out what I'm cooking for dinner later. Got loads of venison left over from yesterday so something involving that.

First day back at work for me today. Not helped by this cold and a lack of sleep last night. Looks like it will be a quiet day though which is a bonus.

We won £50 on the Premium Bonds this month as well which is an added bonus. Our first prize to date.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is pork loin chops with tortellini and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop
    • cleaning the kitchen

I have got a couple of ferries to book for this coming summer so the savings balance won't look quite so healthy for long :)

Don't know if you use Tesco (or have their credit card) but you can use the points to get vouchers towards Irish Ferries or Eurotunnel to France.

Just booked ours for next year.  We're doing 3 trips this year!  One using Irish Ferries, one using Eurotunnel and one going out on Irish Ferries but coming back via Dieppe - Newhaven on DFDS so quite a mix!  Used vouchers for both Irish Ferries return and Eurotunnel return - couldn't use the Irish Ferries voucher for the split one though as it was for more than the one way price (wouldn't have minded losing the difference as it was only about £10 of voucher!).

Can't believe how quickly the motorhome loan is coming down!

I have literally just converted some Tesco points for the Eurotunnel fares.

Booked the Wightlink ferry though the CAMC. Their discount was far better than using the Tesco points. Hoping their insurance is cheap again this year as well.

Milann asked the same question I was going to about the cafe on the bridge - very nice in there!

It's good that you are finding good uses still for the clubcard points - we're struggling more and more to find anything much to use them for.

We used some points doubled up to go to the deep in hull. I normally just use them on food shop these days

We both managed to sleep a bit better last night which appears to have helped our colds along. I will sleep in the spare room again tonight so we  can both sleep well again tonight.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is minted lamb ribs with rice and vegetables.

We are not going to do any jobs tonight after work, other than walking the dog of course. We have a whole weekend planned at home so we will let ourselves rest after work tonight and do the jobs at the weekend instead.
