I'm just enjoying half an hours peace while I can grab it. Everyone is asleep in bed.

The family go home today, they have a long drive home so are setting off at about 9am so the house should return to some sort of normality shortly afterwards. Will send then off full of bacon sandwiches.

It's been nice to see them all but I'm ready for a more relaxed day today in all honesty.

We all received some lovely gifts this year. We have a falconry day to book in for next year which I'm really looking forward too. Going to try and sort that out as part of one of our holidays this year.

For now hope you all have a great boxing day.

What a great present and what memories you will have, better than a jumper. I received an afternoon tea voucher at a lovely hotel am thinking of going when it’s DH birthday, bit different for us. Hope family have a safe journey home.x

Having an incredibly lazy day today.

The dog has had a couple of walks. He's now asleep on his cushion in the living room.

We are on film number three. Wolf of Wall street this time.

Lazy dinner later, meats, cheese and crackers. No cooking involved thankfully.

Weather looks rubbish for tomorrow so another lazy day in the making.
  • Merry Christmas

We watch wolf of wallstreet....in 2 halfs as I can't stay awake long enough 😄 have seen it several times now we also watched leave the world behind which I didn't think much to

The weather forecast is terrible for today so we won't be doing too much.

We will have a bit of a clean up today I think. Had one load of bedding and towels in the wash overnight will do another lot when we get up. Need a quick wipe around in the bathrooms and vacuum up as well.

Going to have sausage, bubble and squeak and scrambled eggs for breakfast I think. Use up some stuff from the fridge. Dinner later is a turkey, ham and cheese pasta bake.

Going to have to find indoor places to keep the dog entertained today. Thinking the garden centre, the dogs toy shop and probably a pub for a couple of drinks might do that.

This time last year we were battling our way up the A1 in the van in really heavy traffic to get to Amble. Glad we are not doing that today!

We are taking a view on the weather forecast tomorrow as to if we head out in the van tomorrow or Friday. We were heading to Scarborough for a couple of days but have decided against that. It will be grim being blown around in the sea front in this weather. Might head to Lincoln instead for a night or two before our new years booking on a very local country estate campsite.

On that note must remember to ring the van insurers and let them know we have changed the number plate or we won't be going anywhere!
