We are now set up at Clumber Park to see in the new year. We have zero phone reception, zero Internet reception and very limited hit and miss WiFi.
Should be a peaceful way to see in the New Year.
Just checked the online banking app, we won't be spending anything for the next couple of days and we have a £500 underspend for this month which is great so that has gone into the savings account 😀3 -
What a wonderful way to end the year! Away in your van, in another beautiful place, to bring in the New Year with a very healthy underspend tucked nicely away.
Happy New Year to you and yours1 -
Happy New Year to you all.
Here's hoping for a successful new year to each and every one of you.2 -
We need a rethink of where we will spend New Year's next year. It was very noisy with fireworks here last night. Poor dog was beside himself. He seems OK this morning though thankfully.
Not much doing today. We will have a lazy breakfast here before heading home. The other half is back at work tomorrow so it will be a steady day today.
We have a venison haunch to roast up later on for dinner.
No hangover this morning, we went to bed early last night knowing we would have a broken sleep. Could get used to these hang over free New year's days 🤣🤣🤣1 -
One of the motorhome travel blogs I follow on y@utube, go away every new year to a quiet campsite for that reason. They have a dog and it gets stressed with all the fireworks. One of my neighbours have gone to the lakes in their caravan, but before they went they told me that the site they are staying at in Keswick is already fully book for the next new year. X:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

I think I'd be looking for something in a forest or similar where it's less likely to be noisy from the fireworks. If there are fireworks nearby then hopefully the trees would dampen the noise down a bit.0

Think we are heading out Norfolk way next year for New Year's. They have plenty of back of beyond out there.
On a side note we can not believe the sheer number of people who were queuing to get into Clumber Park today. We had a nightmare getting out with the queues!0 -
LOL! Norfolk sounds better then!0

Does the bridge in the photo of Lincoln have a cafe above. I think I remember going in there many moons ago. I’ve only ever been there for an afternoon. Maybe it’s a place we need to revisit. You’d have thought you’d have been safe from fireworks in the middle of Clumber Park….poor dog.January spends - £587.581

We have been under that bridge more times than I care to remember with the boat!0
