Thursday already. Only one working week to go for me before the Christmas break.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is roast pheasant with rice and vegetables.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog
- cleaning the bathrooms
- vacuuming the house

Completely agree on the tax - the faffing always annoys me with mine as well, although in fairness I'd rather have nothing to pay and a bit of a faff, than the faff AND a bill!

Friday at last.
No jobs to do today it's Friday. But equally no drinks for me either tonight. It's the other half's works Christmas do in Sheffield so I have copped for driving to pick him up later on. It would cost a small fortune in a taxi so I said I would go and get him.
I'm treating myself to fish and chips tonight to make up for it.
Me and the dog will have snuggles in the sofa.1 -
It has been non stop already this morning. Just grabbing a quick sit down while we wait for the message to pick the dog up from the groomers.
The second load of washing is in the machine. Not be long before that's dry and can be put back on the bed.
The other half didn't fancy a full breakfast this morning so we had a bacon sandwich instead. We have venison casserole in the slow cooker for later on with a giant Yorkshire pudding.
Going to take the dog to the garden centre when we have picked him up and then we need to pick up a couple of birthday cards.
Looking forward to a drink later when we can finally sit down for the evening.0 -

The beautiful Highland cow we met at the farm shop earlier in the year is now partially residing in our fridge 🤣🤣🤣
We bought a nice silverside joint to cook next weekend when we have family staying and a couple of rib eye steaks for dinner one night next week.
The dog is fast asleep in his kitchen bed. He's shattered.
We got everything done we needed to today and got away with only spending a quid on some Christmas crackers in the garden centre and using our free coffee's thanks to some vouchers. The dog was kept entertained by the fish as usual and was entertaining other people with his antics.

Another busy day today. We have the last few presents to deliver and when we have done running around we will have to get some more diesel in the car. It won't last a week with what's left.
On the plus side fuel has come down again. Diesel is £1.37 at our local station now.
Breakfast is going to be a full English this morning to set us up for the day and then we have roast lamb later on.
We had a lovely sunset last night. The sky was on fire.

There have been some fantastic sunsets and sunrises the past few days. Good to hear the price of diesel has come down.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Will need to fill up with diesel myself, usually go to C@stco, planning on going on Wednesday when I go to the shops for the last time (hopefully) till after Xmas. Got a few pressies ordered to pick up, and just the last few bits, then can sit back and relax. Had to buy 4 1st class stamps before, don’t buy them often but had just 3 Xmas and 1 birthday card to send, couldn’t believe it cost me £5. Lovely photo of the sunset, shortest day this week, me and my dad always used to countdown to it, used to say spring is on the way, even tho we weren’t even half way through winter.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.001
