Got the dogs presents ages ago. They are wrapped and put away with the other presents ready to go under the tree on Christmas eve. The other half has got my presents to wrap at the weekend, he has had a nightmare with delivery of one of them so he is a bit later finishing up this year.

It's another wet start to the day. There is plenty of standing water on the roads this morning.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is goat chops with garlic rice and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • load of washing
We are supposed to be away in the van this weekend but if the weather doesn't improve we may well postpone it until after Christmas.

It is very icy this morning. There had been an accident on our estate when we were out walking the dog. Poor lady hit some black ice and ended up in the garden of one of the ex show homes. She was ok just a little shocked and fortunately the bushes in the garden saved her from hitting the house.

It’s treacherous here too. Black ice….I’ve seen a couple of cars back ends swerve as they’ve turned a corner I can see from the window. I’m not venturing out. Pleased the lady was ok….must have been a shock 😵‍💫

There were a couple of accidents on the motorway as we travelled in this morning and MrEH did say if he wondered whether the un forecast sharp drop to below zero last night had caught the highways folk out and they'd not gritted.  Skidding like that is awful - I'm not surprised the poor lady was shocked.

Milann - you are most definitely not alone in still needing to get christmas presents sorted!
