What a horrible start to the week. Heavy, cold rain. The dog was not best pleased with going out this morning.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both take our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is chicken and mushroom pasta with homemade garlic bread made with the leftovers from yesterdays roast dinner.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop
Despite it being an expensive month for the car it looks like we might be on track to not have dipped into the savings to pay for any of it which will be a bonus.

Well done not dipping into savings for the car 👏👏👏 bet that feels great 👍
I’m not putting any decorations up until December and then only after I’ve deep cleaned the place. I visited somebody 2 weeks ago who’d put the tree up in the corner of the room but it just didn’t feel right to me. Mid November doesn’t do it to me 😳😳 It used to be the week before Christmas but now we’re away at dds for Christmas I can cope with putting them up at the beginning of December 👍

Not much happening at this time of the month. Quiet on the finances side and quite on the home front.

It was a cold and frosty start to the day this morning. Lovely walking the dog. He loves the frost under his feet.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was porridge, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is firecracker chicken with lime and coriander rice and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • load of washing
    • cleaning the kitchen
I'm going to batch cook some jacket potatoes tonight as well while I have the oven on. They are handy for sticking in the freezer and using on the van.

We had some snow overnight. Was expecting a rubbish drive in to work but there was nothing on the road and we got here early!!

Pay day today so the beginning of the month savings money shuffle. £200 to the savings account, £100 to the Premium Bonds and £50 to the ISA.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is pork loin with tortellini and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog (he loved the snow this morning and was super excitable)
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • vacuuming the house
Hope everyone is managing to keep warm enough during this cold snap?

I can't tell whether we've had a very light dusting of snow or it's just heavy frost! It's certainly very cold though.
