When I worked with a local rescue we had a dog that if she saw a camera would deliberately turn away. It was very funny but made it difficult for her rehoming page.

Well that was a wild and windy night!
We went to bed early knowing it would be a disturbed sleep so I think we have cobbled together enough hours spread out through the night.
Not much planned for today. We are going to top up the gas bottles on the way home ready for our new years trip. We will call into the farm shop as well. Need to pick up something for dinner later. Think beef today.
Need to take the car for some fuel as well. Good news on that front though with the price of diesel plummeting locally in recent days. 👌0 -
The beef is in the slow cooker and smells amazing. It's a big joint so should do us a healthy portion today with Sunday dinners, sandwiches tomorrow for work and a good chunk left to make dinner tomorrow night. The dog will have some of course.
We had a run out to Newark this afternoon to be nosey and look around the motorhome dealers which wasted a couple of hours and got us some free coffee's 🤣🤣🤣
We had gone to look at a specific make and model for future reference and it did confirm its a very veey nice van. Nothing for the near future though. It will be after the mortgage is paid off before we look to swap the van. Which is a good job given the price tag 🙈

Motorhomes are a ridiculous price now aren't they? Even fairly old ones!
What van were you looking at?1 -

We looked at its baby sister the Malvern but there wasn't much price difference and by the time you get to big vans like that half a metre will make sod all difference.
Until you get into a tight space half a metre shorter to turn around in of course 🤣🤣🤣
It's the first van we have seen other than ours that we have both really liked.
Still it's a while down the line yet.1 -
The start of another working week. My last full week before Christmas.
Should be a quiet week on the finances front.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was a bacon and egg sandwich to use up some weekend leftovers, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is beef in black bean sauce with noodles and spring rolls to use up the leftover beef from yesterdays roast dinner.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog
- weekly shop

Another day at the grindstone.
Nothing much to report today. It's a quiet time of the month financially.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is firecracker chicken with lemon rice and vegetables.

We had hoped seeing it in the flesh would flag up something we didn't like about it or something that wasn't practical. We didn't find it if there was, well other than the price tag.
In other news I have renewed the car tax today. Always makes me laugh the rigmarole you have to go through when it is zero rated. It costs them more to send the renewal reminder.0
