Looks like it will be a spendy day today. We are nipping to the farm shop shortly, we need to put fuel in the car and the van and we are having a pub day and takeaway for dinner later.
Going to walk the dog and nip to the farm shop first. Then come back for a full English to set us up for the day.
Just need to put some clothes in the van and get fuel on our way out to Derbyshire. The dog will be overly excited again no doubt.1 -
Having had a caravan for best part of 40 years ….the mh is so much easier. I was amazed how quickly you can pack up when going out for the day amber.January spends - £587.580

Couldn't agree more @milann. You realise how much easier a motorhome is once you have one. You just have to get used to using it in a different way to a caravan. For example we never stay anywhere more than 2 or perhaps 3 days but more often than not it will just be one night and move on somewhere else.
It's also much easier in France and than the UK - no need to book just turn up. Can you imagine doing that with a caravan in the UK? It's not that easy in a MH but at least it is possible.1 -
We had a lovely evening with family last night. Was nice having a catch up with them.
We are heading to their house in a little while for breakfast before heading to Hardwick Hall for a good walk.
It is a roast chicken for dinner later.0 -
I love how your dog is so fascinated by fish 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Its nice to not have to be tied to using campsites as well. We use them as little as we can get away with. We much prefer being off campsites.1 -
Love Hardwick Hall….we haven’t been there since before lockdown. Thanks for the memory jog 👍January spends - £587.581

It was lovely walking around the grounds at Hardwick Hall today but it was very soggy underfoot. We all got very muddy.
We are all washed up again now though and our clothes have gone straight in the wash.
We are back home again now. Dinner is prepped for later on. The van is back in the drive. Hopefully the weather will be fit next weekend to give it a good scrub. Its getting ready for it. Its filthy!0 -

Good Morning all. This messing about with the clocks has really put my body clock out of kilter!!
Breakfast this morning was a bacon and egg sandwich, we have both taken our packed lunch to work and dinner tonight is going to be chicken, mushroom and bacon pasta and garlic bread to use up the left over chicken from yesterday's roast.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog
