I believe the theory with the current variants is that after day 5 they have lot so much potency the chances of passing them on are much reduced, but still, I agree RS, it's not a policy I'd be wonderfully comfortable with!

Milann, if someone was still actively unwell then they'd be off regardless of whether it was covid or something else presumably - hopefully this isn't a blanket rule that people have to go back after 5 days sick however they are feeling!

The official guidance is that you don't have to isolate at all!

If I was still feeling too ill to work I wouldn't have had to go back after five days.

As it happens I feel absolutely fine today. Just the remnants of a snotty nose to get rid of, in a similar fashion to a common cold.

With the amount of coughing and snotty noses at work today I suspect there are more people who have just not tested!

Another wet start to the day. Hopefully this extra rain doesn't cause people any more flooding.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is salmon, rice and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog

    Another day at the grindstone.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is homemade fish pie and vegetables.

I'm off for my hair curt after work tonight so the other half has agreed to clean the kitchen and make dinner. Happy days.

Yes - I knew that officially isolation was no longer a thing. Realistically Covid isn't going anywhere is it - we really do have to get used to living with it I think.

    Happy haircut day!
