It will be a no spends day today. Number 12 for February.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was sour dough toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is chilli pancake bake (which is essentially enchiladas made with a slow cooked chilli and pancakes and topped with loads of melted cheese)

    Today's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • watering the house plants
    • dusting the house

It's good to see you doing so well. Idk I've taken a lot from your diary on here and also from people I have met in recovery who have similar lifestyle - time with family, lot of holidays and have a life outside of work I suppose. Tbh it's something I need to focus on and something my family would appreciate.

It will be another no spends day. Number 13 for February. I don't know that there will be too many more for this month though. Maybe 1 or 2.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is slow cooked beef stew with Yorkshire Pudding and greens. The slow cooker has certainly earned it's keep this week!

    • cleaning the kitchen
£67 landed into our current account this morning from the energy rebate so I have rounded that up to £100 and sent it over to the savings account.

Our energy account is looking in good shape for this time of year. We have hardly touched our credit amount over the winter so we are paying too much. We will keep the credit amount with the energy provider for the next winter period.

You're doing really well with the NSDs.

I thought the £67 went straight to the supplier or doesn't it with yours? Good news about the energy credit.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

The £67 goes to our supplier who then refund it to our current account.

With energy bills now due to reduce later in the year I think we will be paying far too much now. But I would rather go into next winter with a healthy credit balance. So will keep our repayment the same until much later in the year.

Is this your energy use over the summer or have they announced that prices are set to fall?  I do hope it's the latter but I've not heard anything.

No, the predictions are now that the average annual energy bill will drop by some £800 come the July price changes. It has been in the media over the last few days.
  • Brilliant! Thanks 😊
I haven’t been tuned into real life for a few days 😂
