The start of a new month. This year is flying by.

It will be a no spends day today. Number 1 for December.

Although its a no spends day it is a busy direct debit day. The current account balance looks a lot less healthy than it did yesterday that's for sure. Thankfully the other half gets paid weekly so it gets a top up every week.

The missing money from the National Insurance rate change worked it's way into my account this morning. Not sure what went on with the accounts department but it's all sorted now and we have been assured that all will be sorted out properly by this months pay day on the 30th.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. It was crumpets this morning, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is a slow cooked ox tail casserole with Yorkshire pudding and greens.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • load of washing
    • vacuuming the house

  • I also had crumpets for breakfast this morning RS :)   Glad you got the missing NI sorted out quickly!

Glad to hear the missing money turned up - you promoted me to check my payslip when I read that yesterday too - all good here!

Busy DD day here too - mind you I far prefer it when everything happens when it is mean to on the 1st/2nd rather than a weekend getting in the way!

We had a message about the NI rate before we could view our payslips online so knew it had been done. At least yours will be right at the end of the month.

I bought some seeded crumpets with sourdough, they’re ok but won’t bother again, will stick to normal crumpets in future and stop trying to be fancy 😆

Not a no spends day today. We have been and got the last of the Christmas presents this morning. Mostly alcohol. One last wrapping session tomorrow I think.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is lamb and mint burgers with chips, onion rings and homemade coleslaw.

Just got to walk the dog tonight and remember to plug the van in. So a quiet night in front of the TV is in order ready for what will be a busy weekend ahead.

I will be ready for an early night after last night. Not sure what was wrong with me but I woke up a couple of times in the night with really bad stomach cramps and an upset stomach. I didn't feel ill as such so I guess something has just disagreed with me. I'm fine this morning so have packed myself off to work as usual. But definitely an early night tonight to catch up on some sleep I missed.
  • I will be having one last wrapping session this weekend too, I have been waiting for a few straggling gifts to arrive but they are due today so I can get that job 'jobbed' as my gran used to say :)

Hope you are feeling better and you get a good night's sleep tonight

Thank you. I'm sure I will be fine today.

Breakfast has stayed where it should be for a couple of hours now so guessing all is on the mend  :/

Just has an email from the other half's car insurer for the classic policy and we are getting a £10 refund which is an unexpected bonus. Not sure what it is for but I'm not going to complain about it.  :)
