Not a no spends day today. We have filled the car with diesel. That at least is coming down now. It cost about £10 less to fill the car up this time then it did a couple of weeks ago.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is salmon wellington and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • load of washing (I forgot to do this last night!)
  • Our diesel has dropped 10p a litre over the past few weeks - I'm glad we held off on putting any fuel in last week as it's gone down about 5p since then. Definitely makes a difference doesn't it.

A no spends day today. Number 3 for December. Hoping to pick another one up over the weekend as well. Probably on Sunday.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is some nice Dexter steak burgers with air fried chips, onion rings and homemade coleslaw.

No jobs to do tonight other than walking the dog. We are going to get comfy on the sofa and watch a couple of films with a few beers. We don't have to get up early in the morning so we are looking forward to a nice lie in in the morning.

It is quite icy out this morning. Shouldn't laugh but the dog jumped out of the house this morning and landed flat on his face  :D

    He was very confused!

Not a no spends day today. We are out delivering Christmas and Birthday presents and cards today.

While we are in Sheffield we are going to visit our favourite dairy farm and pick up some milk, ice cream and butter.

Don't think there will be loads of spends though.

Breakfast and dinner are from stores. Full English for breakfast and a slow cooked lamb saag masala later for dinner with pilau rice, naan bread and onion bhaji.

We will take the dog for a good long frosty walk as well. I have just peeked out of the window before jumping back under the warm duvet and it looks like a scene out of The Day After Tomorrow. There has been a very heavy frost.

There’s been a very heavy frost here too. Mr SA said it was snow but you can see it’s frost.

Sounds like you’ve got a nice day in store delivering presents. Curry night in our house too.

It should be a low spends day today. We are nipping into town to pick up an extension lead and we need some bread but that should be it.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Full English for breakfast and slow cooked Moroccan style goat for dinner later.

We have family coming over at dinnertime. Saved us a journey yesterday. They can take their presents with them. Got another lot to deliver by hand this afternoon.

We are taking the dog for a walk round to the estate Christmas tree this morning to hang some spare baubles on it.
  • Baubles hung on the tree. Not sure what the story is behind it or why it is there. It gets decorated every year though.

It’s a nice tradition however it started. It’s snowing where we are, only very fine flakes but the sky is white over.

  • Just heard from family that they won't make it today. They have 3 inches of lying snow!

Nothing here. Not even a frost!

Gives us a spare afternoon mind. They are coming next weekend instead now.
