  • We don’t have snow down here except on Dartmoor but my DD1 in Bristol and niece in Midlands do. Very icy earlier though. Enjoy your afternoon. I am off to see Nutcracker.

We decided to head to a local nature reserve for a walk. It was a tad chilly but we were wrapped up warm.

Very MSE, it's free parking at this reserve 😀

    It was very quiet today.

The goat is starting to smell really nice. Just prepared the rest of the veg to go with it.

Not a no spends day today. I need to go and do the weekly shop after work tonight.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is goat in black bean sauce with noodles and spring rolls made with the leftovers from yesterdays dinner.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • load of washing
The drive into work was interesting this morning. We went from frosty through thick fog and then onto heavy lying snow. The worst bit is the works car park. I have got in but getting out again tonight could be interesting.

There have been plenty of crashes on the way in. Shouldn't say this but it keeps the other half in a job!

We had snow on Saturday- thankfully the rain afterwards got rid of it. Ds about 5 miles away didn’t have a flake. It’s white with a heavy frost - I’m hoping we don’t have any real snow.
Poor dog bet he wondered what happened when he stepped on the ice 😂

  • The decorated tree is just lovely! What a lovely idea.

We've got a good dump of snow here too - and it seems our local authority decided the roads didn't need gritting, helpful!

When did stamps become so expensive?

Might rethink the Christmas card list for next year!

Think the dog must have snaffled something he shouldn't have. He has the trots this evening 🫤

Hope the dog is better soon.

One of my friends isn’t sending cards this year as she has over 100 to send 😱 A book of 8 stamps does mine. Sadly my list gets smaller every year 😢 It’s a shame because the price of stamps will probably see off the tradition of sending Christmas cards.

It will be a no spends day today. Number 5 for December.

Breakfast, ,lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is spag bol and garlic bread.

Not much to do tonight other than walking the dog if he wants to go out. We were both up with him in the night wanting to go out to relieve himself. He still seems his bright bubbly self this morning though and he was hungry and is eating well so we don't think it is anything serious.

We are both coming down with something though. We both have a sore throat and the start of a sniffle. Hopefully it will come and go again before Christmas.
