Our Collie once disappeared behind the bar in a pub when out with DH. Not sure of he was being nosey or could smell something interesting.
  • Our dog likes the shops too but there aren't many where we can take him inside around here unfortunately

There are loads of shops he comes in with us. There are more and more high street shops becoming dog friendly.

Ours just loves all the fuss he gets from staff and customers.
How do you find out which shops are dog friendly? Is it a matter of checking for signs on the doors?

We generally just ask when we are stood at the door and 9 times out of 10 they are dog friendly. The non dog friendly shops usually have a sign by the door.

Not a no spends day today. We have been and picked a few bits up from the shop this morning and it is the other half's work Christmas do tonight.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner for me are from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner for me tonight is stewing steak, cheesy mash and vegetables.

An early finish from work for me to go and pick up the dog so tonight I am going to get a few bits done around the house. The van needs a clean out ready for next weekend, I have some more small bits to wrap for Christmas hampers, I'm going to do a few bits of cleaning around the house, must remember to walk the dog as well. Then I will drive back into Sheffield to pick up the other half later on so no drinking for me tonight.

We were supposed to be out at the pie pub in the van tomorrow, but the friends we were going with rang last night to say that they have all caught Covid. So we have cancelled that and will do it early in the new year instead. Which gives us an unexpected weekend at home.

Pity you’ve had to cancel the pie pub but it’s something to look forward to in the new year.
Enjoy the Christmas do. That’s something I miss now I’m not working .

Is the dog likely to let you forget a walk? Ours never would have done.

I miss a work Christmas do. Ours were usually lunchtime ones that spread into the evening for those who wanted it. Since Covid they’ve stopped altogether with no signs of recommencing. Your OH’s Christmas do is a bit early. Shame about the pie pub but it will still be there in the new year.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

I'm dog sitting not at the work do. 😀

Dog is being mardy because hospital dad isn't here.

I'm not going to my works Christmas do. Don't really fancy it truth be told. Its different with the other half's firm with it being a small place I think.
  • It has been a lazy start to the morning. We had a nice lie in.

Just been for a walk with the dog and now breakfast is cooking.

We are going to get Christmas out of the loft later and get trimmed up.

Need to get some diesel later so won't be a no spends day today.
