  • Must be the start of another road trip.

We are a bit later setting off then we thought but no worries we have not got any rush.

I am doing the first couple of hours drive and then we will stop for a coffee, stretch our legs and driver swap.

At least the traffic shouldnt be too bad in the south west now the schools are back. We live near the M5 and the traffic going south on Friday pm and Saturday mornings can be horrendous with the reverse on late Saturday and Sunday as people head north again. We also used to live in Paignton and during the summer you couldnt go anywhere in the summer without queues.

Have a lovely time it is many years since I visited Cornwall just watch out for narrow roads with high hedges. There are usually walls behind the hedges.

  • Had a great run here,  no traffic at all.

Had a bit of a wait to get into the motorhome bays at this end though. Unfortunately a pick up truck was parked in one when we got here.

We looked at the ticket and it had an hour and a half left so we pulled across the front and waited. Shouldn't have and we fully expected to be moved on by a warden even though we had bought a ticket.

They were very apologetic when they got back and to be fair the undergrowth was covering the motorhome signs.

Anyway we got in  and judging by the number of vans that came by while we were waiting,  the spot wouldn't have been here had the truck not been 😀

Good job we are cheeky swines!

Glad you had a good journey, you were lucky with the parking space too, the truck did you a favour in the end. Have a lovely day.

Phew - well worth holding your nerve and waiting though - hopefully the traffic warden realised that actually you were waiting for a space that you were entitled to use and the truck wasn’t!

  • Just had a lovely walk around Watchet to blow away a few cobwebs.

It really is a very pretty place. A good find I think. Cheap as well at £5.50 for 24 hours.

Struggling with Internet connection today so will post some pictures later if it is any better where we are headed today.

Just had breakfast which was a bacon and egg sandwich. Dinner tonight is slow roast lamb shoulder with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, roast parsnip and vegetables.

We are on a site tonight. I don't think it will be an overly spendy day today.

  • Better Internet reception here at Watermouth Bay.

    Pictures from this morning.

  • It's been an interesting drive today. The sat nav it turns out takes the vehicle dimensions quite literally 😵‍💫

They must have known at this campsite that we love a Seaview. We have got an epic pitch. Probably the best on the site 😀
