We managed to get the burgers last night. The pub wasn't overly busy and the quality of the food was all the better for it. We both really enjoyed it.
Today isn't a no spends day. We have filled the car up with diesel this morning.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toasted fruit loaf, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is pizza and a few beers on the sofa watching a couple of films.
No jobs to do again tonight other than walking the dog after work and before bed. We have a busy weekend at home to be getting stuff done in the garden and around the house.
Just taken the dog out for a walk and there is a definite nip in the air. Checked the weather forecast and they reckon it will drop to 5 degrees here tonight!
Not a no spends day today. We need to go to the farm shop to get some meat to take away with us next weekend I the van.
Breakfast is a full English and dinner later is slow cooked beef madras with rice, naan bread and samosa.
We have a fair few jobs we want to get done over this long bank holiday weekend. Not sure when we are tackling what though. Today might be wash day. I have a load of clothes and two lots of bedding I want to get washed and line dried if possible.
Might leave the garden for tomorrow. Also got some bits to do on the van before we go away next week. Nothing major. It needs a wash and clean inside as well.
Need to take the dog out somewhere in this lot as well. A busy day ahead I think when we get up.
I’m planning on tackling a few jobs this weekend, make the most of the long weekend. Definitely need to get my autumn/winter clothes out and pack the summer ones away. Lots of gardening to do too.
Curry night in our house too 😃

Turned into a bit more of a spendy day then expected. Went to the farm shop for some bacon and sausage and diced beef for tonight's curry. Ended up coming out with that as well as half a sheep's, some diced goat for tonight's curry and half a goat to pick up next time we go in there 🤣🤣🤣
Still the garage freezer is stocked up again now. It was getting a bit empty.
One load of washing is dry and put away. Got the van bedding on the line now. Our bedding might have to go out to dry tomorrow I think.
We stumbled across a local steam and vintage rally while out with the dog at lunchtime. It was quite good for a small free event.
We are really enjoying these rallies this year. Think next year we are going to take the van to a couple of the bigger ones for the weekend.
A friendly bunch the owners.
We are back home now. Curry is starting to smell nice, dog is settled in his bed and we are going to have a beer. Garden can be done tomorrow.
Hoping it will be a less spendy day today. We need to get a few bits from the shop but it is only a few basics. Nothing expensive.
Full English for breakfast again and tonight we are having roast pork and all the trimmings.
Today's jobs are washing the van, tidying up the gardens and cutting back the lavender and we need to get our bedding washing and hung out to dry today as well.
A busy day again. We need to walk the dog as well in that lot. Will see where we end up with him today.
Rotisserie pork sounds delicious. I love the steam rally you found. A friend of ours used to keep full sized steam rollers. He ended up with 7 and restored them beautifully. Dh was in his element riding on them with him.
