Great to hear it re the van. Have to say your photos always look brilliant, a reminder there’s a lot to see in the UK never mind the rest of the world. Incredibly peaceful this evening.

Shame about the local pub - a lot of these places are just not equipped to handle being busier than anticipated, service suffers and people don’t go back. From my knowledge of it the restaurant trade is a !!!!!! hard balance with fickle punters and hard to predict volumes.

Thanks I am concentrating on business, health and family. Quiet weekend planned, getting some work done in the garden, bit of work and going to make a start on the treehouse my son and I have been planning after a suggestion on here.

It definitely won't be a no spends day today,  in fact it will probably be very spendy.

Breakfast is from stores, egg and soldiers this morning. We are eating out at the pie pub tonight.

We have no rush to set off from here. Will take the dog for a nice walk before we leave.

There is a lot of the UK to explore.  We are really enjoying seeing new places.

We have seen the Humber in a different light this time. It was always choppy and horrible when we came down by boat. Last night we saw the other side when it was calm, peaceful and a wildlife Haven.

The dog has enjoyed an afternoon on the beach. Unfortunately it was a bit busy to let him off his lead this time. He still enjoyed himself though.

We are now at the pie pub. We have been in for a few afternoon drinks and to preorder our pies. They have a private function on tonight so preordering what we wanted seemed sensible.

We are booked in for breakfast in the morning. Last time it was amazing. Its a bit more expensive this time. Hopefully the quality is just as good. I'm sure it will be.

We had a bit of an on and off nights sleep. The party they had on went on while late. It didn't properly disturb us and we did keep nodding off. Then the dog decided he wanted to go out at 3am and to top it off the weather has turned and its really windy with heavy rain showers which kept waking us up.

We had turned into bed early though thankfully so we have had enough sleep overall.

Breakfast is in the pub this morning. We paid for it last night. Will have a coffee or two in the van and take the dog for a walk before we head into the pub.

No other plans for today other than to get home and get the van put away. I have got a pork joint out so it's roast pork and all the trimmings for dinner later.

Glad you enjoyed the pie again. Mr SA would absolutely love that meal. I’m sure you’ll sleep well tonight to make up for the disturbed night.

I think despite the disturbances we have both had enough sleep. Glad we went to bed early now though.

Since we bought our touring caravan last year we have seen more of the UK than we ever had. Even tho it’s a faff to get ready we definitely have a more relaxing time when we are away. We also take our elderly pooch with us and he loves it. The other month we went to the lakes for a week, enjoyed it but when we came back the dog was really poorly so we had to go to the vets. The vets bill was more than the holiday and spends came too. Seems he had a tick on him and it completely floored him, even tho we check him for ticks this one must have slipped through the net.xx
