Not a no spends day today. We have been to fill the car up with diesel. £70 and it wasn't even empty. Should do us for a couple of weeks now though.
Breakfast and lunch are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals and we have both taken our packed lunches to work. Dinner tonight though is a KFC after we have been to deliver the nephews birthday present.
No jobs tonight. We will be home quite late after we have been visiting family. The dog will be excited to see the kids. He always is. He will be excited about his KFC as well no doubt.1 -
Definitely not no spends now.
I have booked our break over the Christmas and New Years break.
We will have a few days at home for Christmas and then we are heading to Northumberland. I have booked us onto a few places on the way up and then we have a couple of nights to find park ups on the way back home again.
They are all cheap stops. Two are council run car parks which have recently opened up for overnight stays for motorhomes and one is a motorhome aire that opened up in a lovely coastal town just over the Scottish border late last year. Total cost £38 for the three nights.
I have places pencilled in for the other two nights on our way home. One on the coast at Redcar and one on the North York moors for New Years Eve, well away from civilisation and fireworks for the dog and both freebies. So it shouldn't be an expensive break other than fuel.3 -
Sounds good and so cheap. Imagine how much a hotel would be that time of year.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

With fuel included we shouldn't be at half that I don't think. Plus we get to stop somewhere new every night. 😀0 -
It will be a no spends day today. Number 10 for May. Must get a few more in next week. Seem to have a low count so far this month.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is a pizza and a few beers watching a couple of films on the sofa.
No jobs to do tonight other than walking the dog. A busy weekend at home again though this weekend, so we will make the most of the chill time tonight.
Wonder how long it will take the other half to realise there is no meat again today2 -

Mr SA hasn’t noticed he’s putting vegan margarine on his toast. I bought it for a recipe and only used a tiny bit. I’m not mentioning it to him as he’s not said it tastes different - trust me I’d know about it if it did 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Just had some great news. The sister in law and half the kids now have Covid. We were with them last night for a couple of hours.
Hope our immune systems are still on top form from our infection in January.
If not we won't be making the van life festival we are supposed to be at next weekend and most probably won't be going to Suffolk for the Jubilee Bank Holiday either which has been booked for a year.
We should have learnt our lesson by now and steered clear of them all before we are due to go away. We have been here several times before. Not with Covid but with other germ ridden child syndromes.
Its times like this that remind me exactly why we decided not to have children.0
