It will be a no spends day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is a pizza and a few beers on the sofa watching a couple of films.

No jobs to do tonight. We got everything done last night.

We will take the dog for a longer walk in one of the parks we pass on the way home tonight I think.

We have a spendy day in store today and a busy day. Lots to do while we have a weekend at home.

I will be heading into town. I need to go to the bank to top up the change bag for the van. While I'm in town I will nip to the butchers. Then I will nip to Aldi on the way back home.

While I'm doing that the other half is going to rake all of the leaves and bark chippings out from under the front garden hedge and put some fresh bark chippings down. They are ready for a refresh. Unfortunately though the hedge has an infestation of some kind of aphid type insect so he will probably be infested by the time he has done!

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Full English for breakfast and a bbq later on in the garden.

Going to try and get a couple of loads of washing line dried today as well and get the grass cut in the back garden at least. Mind you the front needs cutting as well though.

Busy day ahead. Oh and we need to walk the dog at some point as well.

A much quieter day in store today. Won't be no spends again though.

Breakfast is a full English. Maybe on the bbq, depends how the other half is feeling. (We had neighbours round for drinks in the garden last night!) And dinner later is roast duck and all the trimmings.

We are heading to the garden centre today to get the car cleaned and get a present for the other half's step dad. We are then going to see their new house.

Oh well the cover has gone back on the bbq. It's started raining here.

Looks like I'm cooking breakfast this morning.

That's a shame @RelievedSheff.  Suppose I'm quite luck as my DH cooked any fry up - on the BBQ or indoors as I used to hate the smell of it cooking.  I'm OK with it now but he still does it because I do the rest of the cooking which most days is 3 times a day, even if it's just reheating some soup!  Don't often have sandwiches unless it's when he comes in from golf and I've already eaten.

It's not the end of the world. We had a bbq last night for dinner which was lovely.

Just taken the dog for a walk in the woods. Managed to not get wet.

It's very muggy here. Hopefully the rain will cool things off.
  • Muggy here too, feels like we need a good storm to clear the air.

The rain never really materialised this morning.

After a visit to the garden centre we took the dog for a walk in the woods on the way home.

Step dad's new house is nice. They have their work cut out putting their own stamp on it though. Will keep them busy and out of trouble.

We are now back at home again. The other half has just sown some turnip seeds and the second set of carrots while I was prepping dinner for later.

Time for a chill out now I think.

Those woods are looking very lush and green. It’s been a much better day than forecast.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
