Another great weekend in the van - I bet the boat seems a long time ago now.

It does. Still miss her though.

Was nice to spend sometime by a river we know well watching the boats but not having the huge expense of owning one. That bit we don't miss at all!

Glad you had a good weekend. Looks like a lovely place. The van is proving to be an excellent purchase, getting you out and about most weekends.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Not a no spends day today. We have been to fill the car up with diesel this morning.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores though. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is pork goulash made with the leftover pork from yesterday's roast dinner with some rice and garlic bread.

Not planning on doing any jobs this evening. We got a fair bit done yesterday when we got home so we can have a relaxing evening instead. Might take the dog for a longer walk this evening instead.

Yes we are glad that we bought it now. We are happy that we have bought the right van for us now as well. It is nice to be able to get away whenever we fancy.

Couple of weekends at home now before we go out in Milo again. We need to get a few bits done in the garden next weekend while we have the chance. Hopefully the weather will stay nice and we will be able to crack the BBQ open.

I love how much use you get from the van - you will definitely have the value from it won't you! That looked like a lovely spot right by the river too - I see the dog also approved!  :D

Not a no spends day today. We need to pop to the shop after work to pick a few bits up. Only a minor top up shop so won't be expensive. Mostly bread and milk that we need to see us through until the weekend.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is gammon with air fried chips, onion rings, fried egg, corn on the cob and grilled tomato.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • shopping
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • walking the dog

I think the dog had a good weekend. He was shattered when we got home. :)

Done this evenings top up shop at Aldi. It was probably half the price it would have been at the other supermarkets that we use.

Still finding out what is good and what isn't though. The coffee we had last time wasn't great. Have got a different one to try this time.

It will be a no spends day today. Number 6 for May.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is mixed fish in black bean sauce with whole wheat noodles and spring rolls.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • cleaning the kitchen (didn't get round to this last night due to poorly dog)
    • load of washing which should hopefully be dry when we get home
    • walking the dog
The dog had a dodgy stomach yesterday when we got back from work. He must have eaten something which we have not noticed but his poo was very liquid. Thankfully he managed to hold it in the car and wait until the other half took him on some grass while I was in the shop. And then he asked to go out in time at home. He was still eating fine and playing like he usually does so he can't have been too off colour. He seems back to his usual self this morning and his poo was almost normal again this morning so it must have been something he has eaten that disagreed with him.
