So my implant didn't get changed today. The nurse wasn't happy to attempt to extract the current one with how it is sat so I have to go back next month now on a day when the nurse and a doctor will be present.
Annoying as we had to finish work early to get to the appointment on time. At least the next appointment is a bit later so we can leave work as normal and pray for light traffic.0 -
Better to wait for a doctor and nurse than for the nurse to go ‘digging’ I suppose. A bit of a pain when you had to finish early though.January spends - £587.580

Isn’t that just typical when it’s something you probably wanted to get over and done with.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Fingers crossed that next time they can sort it out. Don't fancy a numb arm for nothing again.
Anyway. This evening I have had a tinker with the two heating controls in the house. I have shaved 10 minutes off the times here and there and knocked a half degree off some of the temperature settings to see if it makes much difference. Probably won't notice now with the warmer weather though.
I have prepared the vegetables for tomorrow's slow cooked casserole and stuck them in some cold water in the fridge to give myself a head start tomorrow morning. Just need to lob them in the slow cooker in the morning with the stewing steak and a bottle of beer.0 -
It will be no spends day 13 for March.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to works and dinner tonight is steak and ale casserole which is in the slow cooker and will be served in a giant Yorkshire pudding with some greens.
Tonight's jobs after work are:- going to the garage to book the van in for it's MOT and service
- load of washing
- walking the dog

Steak and ale casserole sounds delicious 👍January spends - £587.580

As lovely as it will be I'm not sure that steak and ale casserole is very weather appropriate today.
Just been to take the dog for his Wednesday lunchtime walk and it is really very warm in the sunshine.0 -
Just had out last "cheap" energy bill through before the price hike at the end of the month.
Thanks to the mild weather it was back below our direct debit payment amount. £83 so we are happy with that.
That does mean that we still have a little over £100 credit left on the account from this winter.
We have tweaked the thermostat settings on the two heating zones in the house so there should be some more savings there as well, although they won't become apparent until next autumn now I would think.1 -

We have driven past loads of petrol stations this morning and not one of them had applied the 5p per litre price cut that the chancellor announced yesterday. So they are just pocketing an extra 5p per litre profit now0
