It will be a low spends day today. Just need to nip to the shop on the way home and pick some breadcakes up for sandwiches this week.

Breakfast this morning is beef and chilli cheese toasted sandwiches and dinner later is roast pork and all the trimmings.

We are going to take the dog for a walk in the woods before we go home and pick up some fresh eggs from one of the houses on the way back. They were really cheap at 60p per half dozen.

When we get home we need to drain the van down again and give it a quick clean ready to use next weekend. It isn't too bad so it won't take too long.

It’s interesting how it’s mainly motorhomes on the  site - that’s something we have noticed when we go.

It's still a bit cold for caravans!  They aren't insulated as well as Motorhomes.  We only used to go out from Easter onwards and the season tended to finish end September.  Motorhomes are that much warmer you can use them year round.

True JD. We did take our old caravan out to rallies over winter and went to Cornwall over February half term. The MH is definitely warmer though 😁

As an aire set up it is only open to motorhomes and self sufficient camper vans at the moment. There is a waste disposal point, fresh water, bins and a grey water disposal point but the shower and toilet facilities are not open. You need to have everything onboard.

The main site reopens again later this month when caravans will be welcomed back.

The eggs we picked up this morning look lovely.

The van is sorted and on the drive. We have taken the dog for a run with his ball on the big field up the road. Dinner is prepared ready for later and we have spent an hour in the garden cutting the grass, weeding and having a general spring tidy up. Looks much better now.

Time to sit down with a beer now. Its a shame its so blustery outside. It would have been nice to sit on the patio with a beer in the sunshine buy its a bit too blowy really.

It was relatively mild last night. We had the front roof hatch open for most of the night 😀

We always have our front skylight open from the time we park up to the time we leave.  Need some ventilation in the van to stop the condensation.

Ours has plenty of fixed ventilation so it isn't too bad for condensation at all. There was non this morning as it had been a bit breezy in the night. The most we normally get is a bit on the windscreen even with all the hatches and windows shut.
