@RelievedSheff - have a great weekend away in the van. Are you leaving after work or going tomorrow morning? We always used to try and get away early from work on a Friday if we were going away so we could have an extra night!
@alt80 - you need to send your wife to Slimming World - you can eat pretty much anything you normally do just cooked differently! Certainly don't need to live on chicken salad!
I'm doing goat curry and rice tonight. We've got burgers & onions in buns with chips tomorrow - and everything is SW friendly!

Last check in is 6pm at the site we are going to so there is no way we could get there tonight. So just tomorrow night away.joedenise said:@RelievedSheff - have a great weekend away in the van. Can have a bit of a lie in tomorrow though and no need to rush around in the morning before we set off which will be nice.
I agree with you that Alts wife should try Slimming World. Some friends of ours do it and it is amazing what they eat while still losing weight. We always enjoy the food when we eat with them.2 -
I’ll third recommending Slimming World. 👍January spends - £587.582

It won't be a no spends day today but it should be low spends. I imagine we will find ourselves in a pub at some point for a couple of beers..
Breakfast will be egg and soldiers and dinner later on is the Shepherds pie I made last night.
We can have a lazy morning today. No need to rush around. The boys are still snoring soundly.
We will take the dog for a walk before breakfast and then after breakfast load up the van and fill the water up before we head off at about 10.30am.1 -
Have a good time.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

The site here is alright for what we have paid. It won't go down as the prettiest but it has everything we need and is really close to town with excellent walks from the site.
It hasn't been an overly spendy day after all. We have spent £20 on two rounds of drinks and a scotch egg each.
Now back on the van sat in the sunshine with a couple of beers. The dog is crashed out. He is shattered.

That doesn't look a bad site at all for the price. I've seen plenty worse and at higher prices.

We have been on worse. Reverts back to the usual campsite charges in a couple of weeks though.joedenise said:That doesn't look a bad site at all for the price. I've seen plenty worse and at higher prices.
It's certainly popular. Full up tonight.1
