Gardens never look their best this time of year. I've given up on picking leaves up, just going to try and keep it tidy ready for spring. We've got a really long garden (100ft) and because there's nothing at the back of us and we're really high up it gets battered by winds in the winter.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Our back garden is looking really sorry for itself at the minute with the grass looking quite bad in places from the lads walking on it and churning it up. To be fair it looks a bit better than it did last week. Another week or so and it should look a lot better again. If the weather stays relatively mild this next couple of weeks we will make a start on setting out the borders and paths and digging them out and prepping them ready for the gravel.
We are still undecided what gravel we are going to put down. We are aiming for a beach theme so we think something like scottish pebbles, but that might change again if we see something else4 -
Not long ago I valued a big comm unit. Grounds had gravel paths and lawns. They’d put some steel (galv presumably) flat bar to edge it. Apparently the gravel never moved onto the lawn and super easy to mow. Maintenance bloke was insanely proud of it ha but might work for your borders?5

Not quite a no spends day today. The Hyundai is in for it's MOT. Expect this to just be a formality and don't really expect there to be anything wrong with it.
Other than the above there will be no other spends though. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, think I might have a jacket potato for my lunch and dinner tonight is pork chops with sweet potato wedges, onion rings, corn on the cob, grilled tomatoes and homemade coleslaw.
Today's jobs include:- working from home
- cleaning the cooker hood filters
- cleaning the cast iron pan supports from the hob
- cleaning the kitchen
- walking the dog x 2

Good timing on the furlough, don't blame him for secretly hoping to be off and sounds like he's got enough to do at home to keep him out of mischief.
Ooh cleaning the cooker hood filters - another job I don't like. Although it's easier than it used to be with my old cooker hood where you had to buy fresh filters every so often and they were a right faff to put back in.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
I have stuck the hood grease filters in the dish washer. That gets them nice and clean again.
The charcoal filters are not ready for replacing yet but they look easy enough to replace.
It is the pan supports I hate doing. They are a right faff.4 -
The car passed it's MOT no problem yesterday as we thought it would. Today will be a no spend day.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I think I am going to have a sandwich for my lunch today and dinner tonight is homemade fish pie and vegetables.
Today's jobs include:- working from home
- vacuuming the house
- load of washing
- cleaning the bathrooms (why did we choose a house with three?)
- making fish pie
- walking the dog x 2

Didn't expect any less from that one. It is when my Nissan goes in for it's test in January that we get worried. We have been saying that when it fails a test big style we will get rid of it and get me something else as it really isn't worth spending any money on, but it has kept soldiering on and passing tests.
It is getting to the end of it's useful life I'm sure. We could do with it passing just one more test and lasting another year, which probably means it will fail big time after Christmas3 -
